Dr. Alana Macalik, DDS

When calling a provider's office, the first thing we do is ensure that our insurance is taken. So, I called Dr. Macalik's office and ask, 'do you take my insurance' and the response I received was 'yes'. Upon arriving to my appointment, I was told that I would have to pay $240 dollars for preventative services that were coved by my insurance. Because Dr. Macalik is not credentialed or contracted with ANY dental plans. She is a fee for service provider. A fee for service provider gets to decide the cost of services. But why would someone pay for a monthly premium AND pay for higher fees for services. If a provider decides to dictate fees, that is their choice, what is not okay is the LACK OF TRANSPARENCY. This information should have been and should be provided upfront. Everyone knows that dental services can be expensive, so had I not had experience in the insurance field being a practice manager myself, I would not have known to question these costs. A big wase of time.

I have had jaw pain for years. My jaw locks and I can not talk or eat. She made me a splint and it has helped me a lot!!!! She is amazing!!!!

Fantastic dentist. Very gentle. Made me feel at ease with my appointment when I was terrified to see the dentist. I have sense brought my husband and children for treatment who all love her!!

Dr. Macalik and her entire staff are kind, down to earth, professional and honest. Everyone always takes their time with me and ensures that I am comfortable and happy.
