Went here postpartum for regular cleaning and X-rays. I have never had a cavity or dental work only regular cleanings. I have one chipped molar that I haven’t had issues with. I was told by this dr I had a “large cavity” on the chipped tooth and needed an inlay (not a filling) to fix it. This would basically drill away half my tooth. She also said I need a “deep cleaning probably inflammation from having been pregnant. “ she said I was “pre gum disease”. The chipped tooth didn’t ever hurt or feel like there was a cavity. Since I have had no dental work I decided to get another opinion to make sure before letting anyone drill on my teeth. At my second opinion visit from a dr who’s not a hmo clinic but a fee for service dr, I was actually complimented on how good my teeth were cared for. Told I definitely do NOT have a cavity and even if I did a filing would fix it. This dr also said no deep cleaning necessary. Regular cleanings and maintenance would resolve the little inflammation I had from having been pregnant. Complete opposite of what Dr. Dawson said. Also, when I called to get X-rays from this office they wouldn’t give me the X-ray of the tooth they said had the cavity. Red flag. Also come to find out they took a 360 X-ray of my teeth that wasn’t ever necessary. All this just told me they are in the business of making money and will stretch the truth in order to stretch their pockets. My best interest was not their concern. Dr. Dawson actually lied about a cavity claiming it was large when it didn’t even exist. So happy I trusted my instincts to get another opinion. Saved myself $1,400 on things I didn’t even need! Don’t go here. Go get a membership plan at a better dr office if you don’t have a PPO. It’s worth it!

The dentist was very nice and there was no wait, I was taking at the time of my appointment. However, I felt very disappointed and pressured by this dentist. I would not recommend.
I went in for a regular cleaning and after the xrays and preliminary exam she told me I had some disease which can only be fixed with a deep cleaning and a few other procedures. I informed her I did not want to start that procedure on that day and just wanted a regular cleaning then I would make a future appointment for the other. She refused to clean my teeth and shuffled me over to the payment people. The payment lady told me the procedure was about $3000 and I could start today if I wanted. I said no I just want the regular cleaning and they said that won't help you.
I felt that I was basically being told "either you get the $3000 procedure or we won't help you". They NEVER helped me!
They were trying to back me into a corner and force an expensive procedure on me. Very unprofessional and disgraceful.
