Dr. Alfred Theis III, DDS

Went there for almost 10 years when I ran into a problem and was in severe pain for extended period of time with infection I was left to hang by a thread. No help no continuity office manager completely uncaring and calls the shots, Dr. Theiss, and the office manager needs to retire. Go somewhere else.

Dr. Theis III has been my dental Dr. for over 30 years and I have no complaints. Those who are upset about a $10.00 bill or a charge of $53.00 for a teeth cleaning they claim they didn't need are, and always will be, impossible to please. Staff are very professional and supper friendly. Just my kind of people. I own a local business and for every one who has a complaint (who lets all of us know about it), there are 100's who are satisfied and you never hear from them. Such is life.

This place tries to charge you for cleanings you do not need, I have taken care of my teeth all 26 years of my life. The dental hygienist even said 'Oh you have taken good care of your teeth, you have never had a filling, all you need is a cleaning' Then proceeds to tell me my cleaning will be $53 dollars, I asked why the charge as my insurance covers 2 cleanings a year she said based on my code it will be $53. I then proceeded to call the insurance company who called the office come to find out they were trying to charge me for periodontal cleaning which is $53 instead of a normal cleaning. The hygienist states 'Dr Theis decided on that based on your X-ray' (He NEVER came and looked at my teeth in person). I told her if they are going to charge me for unnecessary cleanings then they can keep it and I will go somewhere, where they will explain everything such as the types of cleaning and the reason behind it. DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS!

I broke my tooth and went to another Dentist in same complex as Dr. Theis, BIG MISTAKE!. Fortunately I decided to check into the cost for a crown and found I could save hundreds of dollars at Dr. Theis' office in comparison to other offices in town. He has been in his location as has his GREAT staff for 25 years.

Horrible!!! This office charged me 10.00 "co-pay" Even tho my insurance had no co-pay for exam. They took 2 x-rays doctor examed, about 4 seconds used no probe, made no comments and left... Hygienist came back in gave me a faded reproduced page that said I needed a periodontal maintenance "deep cleaning", because it was determined I had bone loss....Really! for 65.00. These people are clearly scammers...

Be careful when it comes to paying for services with your insurance and getting charged the correct amount. I received a cleaning from the hygienist which was supposed to be at no charge and was charged $65 for a Deep Cleaning which I did not receive. When I contacted the insurance company NO PAPER WORK was filed regarding the procedure.
