Dr. Anthony Visconti III, DMD

This office demanded payment before leaving the office for my husband's cleaning (526$ to be exact).This was never mentioned at the time the appointment was scheduled.We have insurance (Excellent insurance)and never had to pay up front before.The lady up front did not check our insurance first.If she would have, she would have known our insurance pays the provider NOT the patient.Needless to say now we have a 400$ credit at this office( they received our insurance check like we told them they would) and now they are making us wait a week or more to get our money as front office lady is 'out'. This is horrible business practice and this office will not be getting our business.Please be wary when making appointments as they said AFTER the fact that ALL insurance companies only pay the patients and they will collect FULL amount up front.. Unacceptable.

I moved 100 miles North to the Deland area about 2 years ago and had to establish all new medical professionals; doctors, dentist, etc. I could not have made a better choice for my dentist than "Dr. Tony". My first visit (cleaning, X-Rays, exam) in November 2019 went smooth and the staff was very professional. (They also recommended dental plans before I ever made the first appointment). I returned for cleaning (only) in February 2020. An appointment for another cleaning was made for May. On Sunday evening, (March 29) I had a tooth/crown come out! I called the office the first thing on Monday and they had me come in the same day to get the tooth re-cemented. My first experience with exceptional, prompt service! On May 7th I called the office to seek an appointment for a severe toothache. The same day, Dr. Visconti took X-Rays [severe infection!] and pulled TWO teeth!! Two "emergency" visits promptly taken care of; for a patient of less than 6 months! *****
