Dr. Barry Sautter, DDS

Great report on teeth for years; moved to NC and got new dentist (Sautter). Suddenly needed fillings and mouth guards and more. Tries to sell you by using fancy dental terminology. God forbid if you have an issue with your bill; he gets defensive. Staff isn’t friendly. Bad experience. Never again.

Beware!

Barry Sautter is the used car saleman of dentists. You will quickly find out that he maniplualtes the status of your teeth to make you feel as though you should spend more money. Whether a crown or a cavity, you just never knew if you needed work done, or if Barry was trying to make his number (always selling - UGH). Oh yeah, and his staff is NOT NICE. Fake nice that feel awkward, but the fish rots from the head - its Barry. Last warning, Barry and new dentist made major mistakes during treatment, like nicking a crown while working on adjacent filling. How fun was it to have a crowrn removed and replaced due to incompitence. I finally took my family of 6 and left after a number of years of unpleasant office visits. Read up on Barry's 1 star ratings. All say the same things... Don't go to Sautter!!

Dr. B was always up front with concerns and tried to be proactive on dental care, to avoid future issues. Dental work has been much less painful that prior Dentists I have worked with. I would recommend anyone give this office a try.

In September, I had a very intense toothache. Dr. Sautter said that the tooth had to be removed. I opted for a permanent bridge instead of an implant. After two permanent bridges and four months later, my second permanent bridge broke one month after it was installed. The first permanent bridge was so painful that it had to be removed and a new one made for me. I am returning to have the rest of the second broken bridge removed tomorrow, I do not know what the next steps will be. I am frustrated with this process.

Dr. Sautter is a great dentist who I'd recommend to anyone. I've never felt like he has performed or recommended any services that I deemed unnecessary nor has he ever been pushy. He always gives me details (the "how" and "why") about any issues that are discussed. His staff is also great.

If you like to be sold to like a used care salesman, Dr. Sautter is your guy! He constantly pushed unnecessary procedures like crowns and redoing fillings on teeth that I had no issues with. Just looking to make lots of money off gullible patients with good insurance.

Dr. was a bit pompous. Didn't really give me a choice regarding my own options - rather, did a lot of talking 'at' me, telling me what needed to be done, a bit holier-than-thou. I like to see health practitioners who partner with patients, not act like they're superior. Not a good experience.
