I’ve been taking my two young sons to Dr. Cat and the Tooth (Dr. Catherine Guerrero) for their routine dental visits for the past couple of years. On December 11, 2024, we went in for their regular bi-annual check-ups, assuming—as usual—that our Delta Dental insurance was accepted. It had been confirmed at the time of booking, and nothing was said otherwise when we checked in.After the appointment, I was suddenly told that because we had Delta Dental, I needed to pay out-of-pocket and seek reimbursement myself. Dr. Guerrero claimed it was simply due to “how difficult Delta Dental had become” and that we'd be fully reimbursed.
