I love everyone I have encountered here. I believe they genuinely care. The treatment plan that Dr. Carney has set up for me is actually doable. I am so relieved I finally found the right dental team. I would send my kids and grandkids here. First dentist in Knoxville I can say that about

Was told a treatment would cost me $469 which I paid then received a bill for $800 more. Would not have got the treatment if I knew this upfront. It was not emergent not much more than a cleaning and I was having no problems with my teeth. Have left numerous messages and email for Phyllis but have not received a call back from the office. I feel this was a scam. No problems with Dr Carney he was not involved with this but do have a problem with your business practices. Any follow up would be appreciated this is not right I kept my end of the deal. We even had changed our insurance coverage to one excepted by your company. This has been going on since March and was told due the virus they would get back to me in a week in May

I haven't been to the dentist in 9 years and I was skeptical of American Family Dentistry. However, the wait was not long, the exam was very thorough and the cleaning, and they did not push for a 6 month revisit.

In and out too quickly for him to hear my concerns. Carney's assistant was cold and dismissive. He completely ignored what I was saying and sent me on my way so I left without my only question answered.

Dr. Carney and all the technicians are wonderful. Very caring staff, professional attitude, and quality work. The front desk receptionist is the polar opposite; seems not to care about patients, scheduling appointments for the wrong time and to address the wrong concern. There's nothing good I can say about the receptionist and that's a shame because the actual dental work staff are an amazing group of people.
