Dr Owen's, along with other staff members told me adamantly that I did not have to stop my blood thinner before having 5 extractions. I aspirated and was taken by ambulance to the ER where I learned I have pneumonia due to aspirating blood. I'm still coughing up blood!

It's all about the dentist! I first saw Dr Owens over 20 yrs ago. I always made sure my family got regular dental care, but I didn't go, thinking my teeth were too crooked. The previous two dentists I saw for extractions wanted me to wear braces, which seemed pointless and embarrassing to me, after 40. I finally found Dr Owens; he never pressured me to straighten my teeth. He gently explained my teeth weren't too crooked for care; I could avoid disease and keep those remaining with regular dental care. He cured my pain by filling two very large cavities, not promising how long they would last because of their size. I finally had one capped 15 yrs later, the other remains over 20 yrs later. I can't believe he was as harsh as described in one review - must be more to that story that she's not telling or telling inaccurately. For over 20 years he's always been very proficient, professional, prompt, kind, soft spoken and compassionate with me and my family. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Hands down, the BEST DENTIST and dental hygienists you will see in GA and in TN!! This office has to be the BEST KEPT secret! I have gone to many different offices near and far and Dr. Owens and his staff have figured it all out! They are incredibly efficient, the office is immaculate and kept so nice and clean. Waiting room feels very peaceful and non intimidating. Hygienists are incredibly thorough! I’ve decided to bring my entire family to the office for their 6 month cleaning. Last week Dr. Owens and one of his amazing hygienist Tina saw my daughter. Both listened to my concerns and explained the x rays and wisdom teeth coming in. The cleaning that was done was the best cleaning I’ve ever had and my daughter has ever had! It’s the dream team in this office and really they deserve a perfect 10/10!!!! 5 star experience as each hygienist is so incredibly pleasant and extremely thorough! I don’t know what they use to polish, but our teeth felt so clean and look so white again!

His staff is so unprofessional. If you have a problem he will refuse to speak with you.

Awful! Owens is a nightmare. I wasn’t comfortable around him ever since I was 10. He was always rude and harsh. At 15 I had to get a cavity filled. I had gotten the shot that makes your mouth numb, and he asked if I couldn’t feel anything. I misheard the question and said no, I thought he said “can you feel anything”. He went in for another shot and I realized my mistake and told him no, and tried to explain. I was backing away as I was telling him this and he grabbed my face, jerked it towards him, shoved the shot in my mouth while yelling at me to stay still. And I mean YELLED. I started crying, the whole situation was embarrassing. His assistant tried to comfort me, Owens didn’t care and never said anything. I had been going through a really rough time with depression and that was it. That was honestly my breaking point. I’m happy to say we don’t go there anymore. DON’T go to Owens! He has no right to work in this field, his treatment of patients is horrible!
