I went in as I was having slight pain in my wisdom tooth area. I had booked a last minute appointment for Friday and it was so close to the closing time. They had put me down for a consulting appointment but Dr. Trippel ensured that he would take care of me and get it extracted that day itself. Dr. Trippel and his assistant, Taylor, were truly wonderful. Taylor kept talking to me throught the procedure and ensured that I was comfortable and helping me stay strong. Dr. Trippel was so gentle and made sure I was doing well during the entire procedure. I started to experience routine post-op pain and swelling and early on Sunday morning my husband dropped him a voice note. Dr. Trippel was so caring, he made it to his office on Sunday to see me and ensured there was no infection. It has to be one of the best dental appointments and procedures I have been to.

Molar extraction couldn't have been done better!
If you need a dental surgeon, Dr. Chris Trippel in Bellevue is exceptional. Today is the second tooth extraction that Dr. Trippel has done for my husband who has Parkinson's and dementia. Dr. Trippel was tremendously caring and thoughtful of my husband's disabilities, taking special efforts to make him comfortable and accommodate his needs. The extraction itself was fast and efficient, but the before and after care is also very important. Dr. Trippel earned a solid 5 stars on all aspects, even calling in the evening to check how my husband was doing. (He's doing great, BTW, far better than I expected!) The office staff is also terrific to deal with and very responsive. My husband needed an appointment ASAP and they got him in quickly. I'm 69 so I'm sure I'll need a tooth pulled sometime in the not-too-distant future and I will absolutely be asking for Dr. Trippel!

Dr. Trippel has been a great resource for my family. Highly competent and experienced, he has guided us towards recommendations that have been highly beneficial. Great communicator and very engaged on our experience, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Trippel to anyone from small children to grown adults.

Terrible Wisdom Tooth Experience.
My full review can't fit on this site (it's listed on google), but this is one of the most condescending doctors I've worked with. He only took out 3 of my wisdom teeth though I had agreed upon all 4 being removed and wasn't made aware of the possibility, I had to argue with him in a post op for 30 minutes for me to get the final tooth removed (and he insisted I try a pill medication even when I said I preferred IV), and when I went in for the final removal the medication did nothing to lessen my anxiety during the procedure- I was in pain during and after, and was completely awake the entire time. If all 4 teeth had been removed as agreed upon the first time, there would have been no issues. However, this doctor refused to listen to me throughout the process. He even asked me to remove the review I posted because he felt he was 'very patient' throughout the process. It's great that he thought he was patient, but I had a terrible experience.

Dr. Trippel is so caring! I was having a dental emergency so he squeezed me in on a Friday and stayed late for my procedure. He didn’t need to get me in so quickly but he just did it to make me feel better. I was having terrible anxiety about an oral cancer scare and he was just so sweet. I was really nervous for the numbing medicine injection too but he was so good about reassuring me that everything would be okay. Him and his assistant were actually so funny! Their sense of humor before and after the procedure helped ease my mind and I felt like it was over in no time. If I need to see another oral and maxillofacial surgeon in the future, I will definitely see Dr. Trippel because you can tell he truly cares about his patients and their emotional well-being!

He was the most condescending oral surgeon I've ever encountered. He explicitly said "nobody likes the dentist" when I have documented severe dental anxiety requiring sedation due to panic attacks. I start crying in dental office situations. It's not just a dislike. I came in for a 3d image for a wisdom tooth to see where it was on proximity to my nerve. Before we ever did the cone beam scan, he was pushing for extraction, which the 3d image was extremely important to me. I only need the one wisdom tooth dealt with. Two other dentists have said my upper wisdom teeth are fully encased in bone and do not need removal. I expressed that I did NOT want them removed. This dentist explicitly said "well if you're under anesthesia, I'm removing those ones too." You do NOT get to perform unnecessary surgery on someone else's body while they're unconscious. Talk about not being able to trust him. I left and will get my surgery elsewhere. He only cares about money, not the patient.
