Dr. Dorr is an excellent provider in every way.
Dr. Dorr was up front with me from the start. He treated me with courtesy and respect, as a capable person who could understand and participate in decision making on my dental care. I had a difficult problem in that a tooth that would normally have been pulled could not be, due to a condition where extraction would seriously compromise my health. Dr. Dorr found a solution to the dilemma carefully doing an expert root canal and filling my cracked tooth with ingenuity and finesse, protecting it from further harm and saving the integrity of my jaw bone in the process. He explained everything to me as he was working, so I would be fully informed and understand how to care for the tooth in the future. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Dorr. I would recommend him to anyone for dental care, and especially those who have difficult problems that require careful attention to detail and expert skill.

Horrible experience!!
My daughter has had many dental issues and always was able to complete her procedures with no issues. We went to see Dr Dorr for a root canal. All I can say is I should have listen to my mom instinct when I walked into the exam room and the chair was all ripped. His has ruined her dental experience and has made her terrified of the dentist. We have since had to search high and low for a dentist who felt comfortable in doing the procedure along with putting her to sleep. This took 6 months and led to $$$$. I wouldn’t refer him to anyone!

I was very impressed with Dr Door’s knowledge. And his assistant was extremely comforting and caring. However, the receptionist was awful! She had absolutely no compassion and made it seem that I would have to reschedule my procedure because of an emergency, but Dr. Dorr was as calm as could be when he called me into the treatment room. And my procedure was painless! Dr. Dorr also does a much better job than my regular Dentist with injections. My anxiety was rediculously high until I left the waiting room and was in the hands of Dr. Dorr and his wonderful assistant. He definitely needs a new receptionist! She’s wound way too tight!!

I went to Dr Dorr for a second opinion, hoping I could save a tooth. My problem is his office's inability to send his evaluation to my referring dentist. As a matter of fact, two weeks later, my dentist is still waiting after two requests by phone. I am now having to go back on antibiotics because my dentist is afraid that my tooth will become too infected before she can extract it. This is just unacceptable.

Dr. Dorr and the staff were very professional and friendly. They answered all of my questions to my satisfaction and there was an air of confidence that helped me feel that I was in good hands. I would see them again if needed and would recommend them to others. Thank you.

I have seen Dr Dorr for two root canals. I found Dr Dorr just wonderful and I am very grateful for his specialty to be local, thus saving a trip to Scarborough. I appreciate how meticulous Dr Dorr is, and I could see that he has lots of equipment including a Doppler device, I think, to locate long dangling roots. I found them to be very kind and caring! The region is fortunate to have Dr Dorr!

I put off having a root canal for years, because of previous experience years ago with another dentist. Finally had to give in. I was shaking when I went in, and they did what they told me-made it as painless as possible, after the local. They did all they could to make me feel comfortable. I can say, if I need another (hope not!) I won't hold off.

Dr. Dorr is very knowledgeable and his facility is new and very clean. However, I was shocked at how heavy-handed he is. He caused my father a lot of pain and discomfort during his "consult" appointment. I've been to another endodontist, and he was much more gentle and concerned about the patient's comfort.

Long unpleasant story. Cost a lot of money, waited months for appointments (for which they were always late sometimes up to an hour). After all this time and money and misery and many nights up all night with a throbbing toothache the problem is still not resolved. I finally made an appointment elsewhere for another opinion although I am now afraid it may be too late.

I had a very poor experience with Dr. Dorr. After assessing my need for a root canal, by directly inflicting severe pain with little warning, the Dr. told me that I would need the procedure. I then found out from his staff that the earliest appointment was over 6 months away. The staff did not act as if this was unusual and they did not volunteer any information to help me manage the pain I was experiencing. This is not a caring or well-run office.

Very disappointed with unfriendly staff. It took a month to get in for a consultation then the procedure was scheduled another MONTH away. I called an endodontist in Rockland and was seen and had my root canal the same week and the staff was very friendly there. I guess Dr. Dorr gets enough business that his staff doesn't need to show any compassion to patients with severe tooth pain or be cordial. A little empathy goes a long way! Dr. Dorr himself was nice and seemed knowledgeable.
