Not transparent in billing practices. Sandy does not disclose that the office uses “higher quality” materials than are covered under their contracted insurance plans. Even though they sign a contract to honor your insurance rates, they still expect payment for this undisclosed upcharge to be paid by the patient. When questioned I was informed it was a courtesy to me to even file my insurance claim (that they are contracted with). I was also told it was my responsibility to find out if this upgraded material was covered, that I did not even know about. If this is making your head spin reading this, imagine being the client. In summary- do not rely on their contract with your insurance company to hold water. Do not recommend, which is unfortunate as Dr Carter is wonderful. Staff is who is lacking.

I hadn't been to the dentist in years and had some serious dental issues but my dad said he loved his new dentist and I should give her a try. My appointment was April 16th, of course I was late but they were very accommodating and the whole process took less than two hours including new patient paperwork, X-Rays, cleaning, consultation, referral, and scheduling. The dental hygienist was very professional and kind and Dr. Carter came in about half an hour later once she was finished with my cleaning and X-Rays. Dr. Carter had my problems fully diagnosed in under two minutes, set me up for three successive appointments for fillings and crowns, and referred me to an oral surgeon for my molar pain. My mouth will be completely fixed by mid-May after years of pain and messed up teeth. I'm very excited. Also, their office is very cute and cozy with lots of hot pink accents and sitting room. Already recommended a coworker to her.
