I was referred to him to assess one particular area of gum tissue after seeing other specialists & having CT scans & x-rays within the last 2 wks ruling things out. I filled out registration online & confirmed they had received comprehensive reports & imaging prior to my appt. When I arrived, the receptionist who said she was the practice manager told me “we need to collect ($550) for the ct scan before Dr. Field will see you” . I said “I’m confused ? Isn’t the consultation done BEFORE any addl tests are ordered ?” I even offered to pay the consultation fee to speak with the doctor beforehand but she said “no”. She could not answer what their CT scan would show that was not already done or shown in the reports sent to them from several days ago. I throught I was on candid camera. Later, I spoke with someone who works in a Ponte Vedra Beach dental office and she said they did the same thing to her - but they said they would NOT charge her. What a scam. Stay away from this provider !!

Researched the web and selected Dr Fields based on reviews. 100% satisfied with his services. Staff are friendly, efficient, thorough and attentive to ensuring customer satisfaction. Dr Field, excellent periodontist. He placed a maxillary implant without pain or complication. It was the most pleasurable experience anyone could possibly have at a dentist. A plus he is opening an office on Amelia Island so I won't have to travel an hour plus. Thank you
