Dr. David Junca, DDS

Excellent service

My family and I have been patients at Junca @ both Hoffner & Goldenrod for over a year. Today I was trying to make an appointment for my adult autistic son to be seen as an emergency for tooth pain., and as I was attempting to make the appointment and 40 minutes later, all I received was unprofessionalism, sarcasm, and rudeness because THEY dropped the ball on handling my call. So I said I'll find another dentist. Approx 20 minutes later I get a phone call back. It's Vanessa, saying now that they can do the emergency visit and extraction w plasma tomorrow for just under $300. A few minutes later, Dr Junca got on the phone with a serious attitude and said he could give me the name and number of surgeons that just take teeth out all day, but that I am not going to change the way he practices for anyone. WHAT are you talking about sir? I told him I felt he and his team had been very rude to me for no reason due to the mishandling of my call from the very beginning. I will NOT GO BACK!

The staff was very nice and patient. The hygienist remarkable. Then the dentist walked in. He taps me on the shoulder to say hi ok… never gives me his face or makes any sort of eye contact. If there was a line up I couldn’t pick him out. I had acid reflex growing up and my front teeth are degenerated. He proceeded to TELL me that I was trying to be skinny and making myself throw up?! What! I’m sorry what are you talking about?! Never asked or even tried to understand why my teeth were degrading. He made it very shameful. I have had dental problems since a child lack of resources and funding my mother did the best she could. He made me feel like a number not a patient. Then after all of the BS he tells me what I need done and leaves the room. Ummm hello? I understand he had other patients but I too was a patient who has a lot of anxiety going to the dentist. His demeanor and mannerisms were terrible I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TO THIS DENTIST. He was rude and impersonal. Disappointing.

Very patient and understanding the best experience ever I would recommend to anyone who needs to see a dentist

My family and I have been going to Dr. Junca for over 20 years. We have been to other dentist as well and found his service far superior to other dentist. Where other dentist wanted to do major work he did not see the need. Saving us big $$$$$. He is also very proactive in fixing problems when they are small before they become big. I would give him the highest recommendation.

The best Doctor

Dr Junca unfortunately is very rude.

Dentists make me nervous because of bad experiences. Dr. Junca and his staff always take the time to make me feel comfortable, make sure I understand what they are saying, and also make sure something is actually necessary. Another dentist had told me I needed a bunch of very expensive dental work for a tooth that had been bothering me. That's when I got a 2nd opinion from Dr. Junca. Come to find out, none of the extra stuff was needed and a simple filling sufficed and took away my pain.

People that work there in front desk are unprofessional and very rude. They need to take some customer service classes or at lest treat everyone the same way they want to be treated.
