Dr. David Schlactus, DMD

Dr. Schlactus was very frank about the condition of a tooth and urged me to be realistic about saving it. He also outlined all my options. He used his expert skills and was able to save it! His staff is always courteous and give attention to each patient. We have observed that they make each patient feel special.

Although I believe he is a good dentist, after trying to charge my wife for a mix-up in appointments (not a no-show and unsure of who was at fault) his office manager accused her of doing this repeatedly-patently not so. Instead of diffusing the situation he said he would have to look into it, in effect calling her a liar after many years of seeing us as patients. I wrote a letter explaining our point of view. He never called to say he looked into it nor apologize. Even after I requested our records to change dentists he didn't call. I am stunned at his arrogance and lack of concern for patients of many years, self paying patients at that. I didn't mention that he kept her waiting 40+ minutes for a less than 2 minute quick examination after her cleaning.

Dr. Schlactus and his staff are wonderful! Me and my family have been coming for years! Very friendly, knowledgable, and efficient. Krissy is the best dental hygienist! She is awesome with the kids. No extra procedures to nickle and dime you on every visit like other dentists I have seen in the past.

I called this morning for an emergency appointment in a panic because I'm leaving to go out of town. Although he is super busy today, Dr. S fit me in and fixed my tooth! Whew! I was out of there in an hour. He also is a funny, friendly and awesome guy!

Dr Schlactus does excellent dentistry work. I went in for two small fillings. He determined that one was not yet needed and we would watch it. The other was painlessly done. I appreciate that unnecessary work was not done.

Dr Schlactus is the most skilled and conscientious dentists in the area. He and his staff are thorough and highly professional as well as warm and compassionate. I cannot tecommend the practice more highly.

Aggressive and condescending staff. Noncompliance with insurance contracts. Have given misinformation to multiple members of my family on separate occasions. Just overall untrustworthy practice. Not going back. Strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

In March 2016, I made an appointment for fillings and was scheduled four months later. I received the preapproval from the insurance and the coverage was clear. I stepped in for the appointment in July and got my fillings done. I was charged for nearly $300 for the first visit and another $300 for the second. Doctor Schlactus always explains everything very clearly- that includes how he came to a diagnosis, treatment options, risks and benefits, and level of discomfort. I wish all doctors practiced like him!!
