Poor pain management
I have had multiple root canals and never this type of post procedure pain. Was brushed off saying it is 'normal'. Eye watering, unbearable pain is not 'normal'. Requests for a follow up were not answered. During the procedure, was told 'not to move' when one spot was extremely painful. I have had tons of dental work and have a high tolerance for pain. Won't go there again or recommend my friends. Especially those with dental anxiety.

Best Endodontist Around
A recent trip to Dr. Stamos resulted in a root canal treatment. From the moment I stepped in the office to the time I left, the procedures were timely, effective, and the staff very friendly. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Stamos without hesitation. I would say disregard the whinners on this thread complaining about cost etc... I checked Dr. Stamos does not have a boat let alone a boat payment! :) I would say I found Dr. Stamos very friendly and trust worthy, his work second to none.

He and his office were fully informed about the particular tooth/reason for visit including a specific worded referral form yet he probably had a boat payment due, so my insurance was charged for a "examination" as well as the x-ray and procedure. My insurance allows 2 examinations per year without charge and suddenly, due to his greed, I was left without any allowable covered exam for the next eleven months as my dentist charged for an exam to determine the need for root canal barely two weeks earlier. Find another specialist to do your root canal!

Dr. Stamos was very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. I was out of pain immediately following my root canal. He is a life saver I was able to go back to work same day.

I wouldn’t recommend this office for any dental treatments. After my root canal on 10/9/18, my pain has worsened. Going to a different dentist that can hopefully help me. John Hawkins

I had a root canal with Dr. Stamos today. I am the ultimate scaredy cat when it comes to having dental work done, especially with a dentist I have not been to before. This was my first experience with Dr. Stamos and I could not be more pleased. He was kind, gentle and got the procedure done with no pain. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing endodontic care.

Dr. Stamos is terrific. My regular Dentist sent me to him because he knew that the procedure I needed was very complicated. Dr. Stamos did a re-treatment of a root canal that had been put in about 25 years ago but had gone bad. it had old posts that were very hard to remove, and he had to spend extra time to do that. However, he completed the complicated task to great satisfaction, and did not even charge extra for he extra work. He is very easy to talk to, and explains what he is doing.

I would recommend Dr Stamos for endodontics (root canal). He's the best in the Kansas City area. When you have this type of treatment you want a perfectionist. Warm friendly office with up to date technology.
