Dr. Denise Turunen, DDS

Dr Turunen had been my periodontist for about 20 years. In that time I found her to be caring, professional and meticulous with my perio care. She explained procedures and possible consequences if they were not taken. "Stable" was a term she used to describe the condition of my teeth. I understand she retired or she would still be treating me. I want to acknowledge her assistant Sheila. She was great too.

I had a visit with her about a month ago and she came up with a very expensive plan to work on my gums. I am a person that goes to the dentist regularly. I have all my teeth except one. And only my gums are suffering. I don't have any cavities or teeth issues. She barely talked about a plan b that would work and be less expensive. I think she's interested in getting the money instead of helping a patient

I went to visit Dr. Turunen for a periodontal exam a couple of weeks ago. The bedside manner was fine, but the treatment plan was, in my opinion, extremely invasive. Multiple surgeries, gum and bone grafts, all without regard to lifestyle changes/and or long term consequences or a therapy plan. The approach was only considered from the financial perspective of the business, not the consideration for the patient's well being. I'd never recommend this periodontist. There are better options.

I have complete faith in Dr. Turunen and her office manager, Sheila. I've never had this wonderful type of care from a dentist. She's a very kind, wonderful person who cares very much for all of her patients. No doubts or hesitations about Dr. Turunen.
