I had a temporary crown for about 4 weeks. The moment the permanent crown was put in I had an extremely uncomfortable feeling. It felt as though the crown was too small for the tooth. The dentist allowed the assistant to put in the permanent one. The following day it still felt very odd and I began having pain on the gum tissue adjoining the area of the tooth with the new crown. Over several months I've tried to find a remedy and the dentist just referred me to an endodontist for a root canal. The endodontist found no reason to do a root canal. I am left with an odd feeling in my mouth since the day the permanent crown was put in.
