Dr. Edyee Sturgill, MD

I called on the Friday before she went on vacation to advise that I was in pain from a tooth. I have really really bad teeth. Her staff told me since I’m pregnant that I would need to clear any medicine for pain with them. Understandable. I called my obgyn immediately and they said hydrocodone was safe but since this was for dental, sturghill would have to prescribe. Also, understandable. Called the dentist again on Friday but they had left for the day at 2:30. I called emergency line for dentis

I had all four wisdom teeth extracted this week. My lower left root was wrapped under the nerve. Being a musician, that concerned me greatly with a potential risk of not being able to play again with nerve damage. Dr. Sturgill was very clear and direct with my options, treatment and potential risks. She kept me very at ease. She was very relaxed, professional and confident which kept me calm and secure with the procedure. Everything went great, and post surgery recovery has been smooth.

Dr. Sturgill did my 4 wisdom teeth about 5 years ago, and yesterday removed an upper back molar.The experience has been fantastic start to finish. I have no dental insurance, her rates were reasonable, even affording me to have it done with general anesthesia. She had her office staff explained every possible outcome, with my root being in my sinus area. I did have to have my sinus stitched up, but have had minimal pain or issue. Dr. Sturgill personally called to check on me today.

Not only were post operative instructions incomplete. Dr Sturgill was contacted on two separate occasions,& never offered to make a follow-up appointment, & on the second call only four days after the first call, and five days after surgery didn't remember patient or what she had prescribed. Lack of care caused threat of permanent damage, & unnecessary pain & loss of work, that lucky was caught in time by another physician. Image being able to only open you mouth 1/3 of your normal capacity.
