Dr. Eric Ladd, DDS

My son needed fillings and caps and was unwilling to use Nitrous at his previous dentist's office. We were referred to Dr. Ladd because of the oral sedative they can give to calm my son down for the procedure. Dr. Ladd was very patient with my son and explained everything to my son and myself each step of the way. He was kind and answered questions thoroughly. My son asked to make Dr. Ladd his dentist from now on as he was very comfortable with the office, staff, and dentist. Thank you, Dr. Ladd!

Dr Ladd’s office is charging me over $600 for a late appointment, didn’t send the bill to the correct address therefore I just now am receiving a collections notice. We were late because my toddler had a meltdown because of tooth pain & fear, they showed zero sympathy and refused to see us over half an hour. It really came down to them not caring at all that my child was suffering. Thankfully, I found a better pediatric dentist that was also in network. Ladd quoted us thousands of dollars and we had great and fast service elsewhere for less than the cost of this late appointment bill and I am still shocked by that. Shameful prices and practices and would absolutely never recommend, more so based on their complete lack of empathy than this stupid bill that I will never pay.

We have 3 children and have been patients for years. Excellent and first class, yet also service with a personal touch. Very well run, friendly, prompt, and run with kids in mind. We are very grateful for the treatment we have received in the years In which we have and will continue to need service here. They often will work with us to get all 3 cleanings done at the same time. Thank you!

I am shocked by the reviews I have read and totally disagree with all the 1 stars. Dr.ladd is super patient with my kids and such a wonderful dentist, my kids love him! And as far as the scheduling I have not once had a problem getting an appointment for after school hours. The scheduling ladies are so nice and understanding. My daughter had to have 4 appointments but that’s not to make us pay more it’s so she can be comfortable and not have to hold her mouth open for an hour. I would recommend this office to anyone with children.

Do not go to him. He is not good with small children. He is not friendly, he does not explain well in the initial evaluation, but you know what he does well, charge you. He will charge you $190 simple for not keeping your appointment. He will also prolong the procedure so that he can charge your insurance and you as much as he can. When I went he could not finish capping my 4 year son's he wanted to finish in the hospital after he had already charged him $300 out of pocket for teeth that are going to fall off.

I’m just disappointed with their scheduling. They never seem to have any openings that are after school. My son had to have tooth fixed and they were not able to schedule me before the school starts during summer - 3 weeks before school starts so now I have to pull my kid off the school for the whole day. When scheduling is just their way of highway - the lady who does the scheduling is not flexible or understanding at all. She doesn’t even try. I think this might be my last visit at this office.

Dr. Ladd is not good with imperfect children. If your child has any complaint or have special needs Dr. Ladd is unkind, impatient and to the surgery center you will go. They do not care if you need an after school time. If it does not fit in there allotted schedule, to bad for you.

My son was extremely nervous about the dentist and very fidgety. Instead of allowing the sedation to kick in, Dr. Ladd tried to work on my half sleep, half scared child. He made two attempts to take X-Rays and because my son wouldn't stay still, he quit. He opted for surgery instead of working a little harder to gain my son's trust. In the end, I paid for sedatives and a terrible experience. The same day I took my son to another pediatrician in Gary, IN no less, and everything went fine.

I really like Dr Ladd my daughter is 13 and has been seeing him since she was 3. The only grip I have is he never has any after school appt, available. I just called for a cleaning and they said they could not get her in until summer and they will be off Spring break : {. Time to move on.
