I had to put off my appointment a few months ago because care provider was not vaccinated, I made it clear that I didn't want to be seen by anyone who is not vaccinated, I even asked the front desk lady to put it in my chart. A few days ago I was notified that my appointment would have to be changed because care provider would not be available on Saturday, I agreed and once again made it clear I didn't want to be seen by anyone who is unvaccinated. I was assured my care provider would be vaccinated. I went to my appointment and asked care provider if she was vaccinated, she told me she couldn't tell me because HIPAA prevented it. That is not how HIPPA works she straight out lied to me, HIPAA didn't prevent her from answering my direct question or declining to answer. I will find another dentist who takes the health of their patients seriously. It's my health and the choice should be up to me if I want to be be exposed in such a vulnerable way by the unvaccinated.
