Get a second opinion before letting them operate. This dentist told me I needed an emergency root canal for what turned out to be gum recession. I changed to a different toothpaste and I've been fine since. The worst part is that when I had a different dentist look at my x-rays, he told me that even if I needed a root canal, the procedure would cause permanent nerve damage due to the anatomy of my tooth. Additionally, the front office attempted to charge me $900 without submitting a prior-auth. I called my dental insurance to verify the accuracy of the charges, and my insurance person flat-out told me that their billing seemed sketchy and encouraged me against paying or going through with the operation. It's scary that this dentist could have caused irreparable pain and damage to my tooth when all I needed was a different toothpaste, especially considering how rude and inappropriate the front desk ladies behaved when I tried to cancel the 'emergency' root canal. Get a second opinion.

About 6 months ago my wife went to him for a "root canal and implant ". He use a "new" anesthetic that has left the right side of her mouth numb permanently. She had a lot of pain, which he didn't seem concerned about and she had to get pain meds from her primary care provider. We just wonder how he graduated from dental school.

Dr. Bird fit me into his busy schedule as a new patient for 2 emergency procedures! His entire staff was kind and put my mind at ease! Dr. Bird worked quickly, but did beautiful work! If you need a dentist, and are on the fence, Dr. Bird is your guy!!

Belinda, the dental hygienist, is the main reason I came back to this clinic. She's worth it and deserves a 5 star rating. However, I had my wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Bird and probably would've gone somewhere else had I know how hard it would be for him to remove them. He couldn't fit his giant hands in my mouth, took many breaks because he was too frustrated that he couldn't grab the teeth to pull them out, then switched to pediatric dental tools, ended up breaking one of my wisdom teeth and had to "fish out the roots." I had one wisdom tooth removed already by a previous dentist and it was a breeze! So I don't think my small mouth was the issue... If I still lived in Norman, I would go back just for Belinda and get anything else done by a dentist with more experience and patience.

Messed me up considerately. Still have pain on the left side of my mouth. That was a year ago.
