Dr. Gregory Wood, DMD

I had a great experience with Dr Wood’s office. I got an implant. The people from work had me scared from their stories of pain and infection. My procedure went perfectly and didn’t hurt beyond the initial anesthesia shots. The implant itself was only pressure. Afterwards, my jaw hurt but Ibuprofen took care of that. My tooth healed and my crown after that from another Dr went extremely well. I appreciate Dr Wood and his assistant, Ashley. I highly recommend them to anyone needing implants!

Dr. Wood bills patients for procedure he never administered. Dishonest would be a kind word. When confronted he gets angry as he cannot justify billing.

I have been a patient for a number of years and have had several different procedures. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

After nearly a year in pain, I was sent to Dr. Wood. After waiting over an hour to be seen, Dr. Wood dismissed me. Barely looked at my X-rays, barely glanced at my tooth. Just rudely said there's was nothing he could do. I've never had someone make me feel that way. I'll never go back... don't even get me started on Connie at the front desk. Geez. Life is too short to deal with people like them.

I have been going to this office for periodontal for many years. Dr. Wood and his staff are wonderful and are very considerate of my dental phobias and my sensitive gum and pain issues.

Dr. Woods was super informative, friendly and alleviated any concerns I had. He spent ample time answering all of my questions. Candy at the front desk was great and worked very hard to accommodate everyone’s needs. Crystal the dental assistant (or dentist in training? she was very knowledgeable so hard to tell) was amazing! I look forward to having my laser treatment. I will update the review further once that’s done.

Was referred to Dr. Wood by my periodontist in New Hampshire when I moved to Gulf Shores. I have found them to be pleasant, knowledgeable and kind. Everyone that I have encountered has been wonderful as well as helpful in answering other questions that I have about the area. I'd highly recommend their services.

As a 30 year old lady, it’s hard for you when your front teeth have something wrong with them! Dr. Wood and his staff took amazing care of me! They explained every step of the procedure, since I would have follow up for finishing the implant. Dr. Wood may be on the quite side, but he sure does know what he’s doing. He has help me along the way to getting my confidence back. I would recommend him to anyone.

I was greeted as I walked in the door in a very friendly manner by the reception staff. I found the dental assistants to be friendly, professional and attentive. Dr. Woods was friendly, he made me feel at ease. He fully explained the procedure I scheduled. The entire experience was very positive.

This was my first time using Dr. Wood. I would recommend him 100%. I was very nervous about having an implant! But Dr. Wood and his staff were all so nice and very polite! If I ever have to have another one ....he will be the one I would want to do it .

Very efficient, professional and courteous. He explained everything thoroughly and consisely. His staff have done a wonderful job and made my experience much nicer than I expected.

They are not very friendly, especially the front desk lady (who either barely acknowledges you, or she is rude to you). It seems that they are more interested in getting as much money as possible out of you.

He is very rude and unprofessional. He needs to find another career maybe sweeping the streets or cleaning public restrooms. He is not capable of even being a veterinary because animals don’t deserve another animal to treat them.

Dr. Wood and entire staff did a fabulous job. I was well informed as what to expect. the procudure was conducted exactly as planned and the atmosphere was professional and relaxed. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Wood to anyone needing his services!

Procedure explained well at eval, loved Drs nurse, front desk staff a bit impersonal, procedure went well but at follow-up appointment (after pd in full!) he was very rushed, did not discuss stitches would be removed right then, and did not offer any topical for pain. When I ask him to explain what was being done and why she was hurting he became quite defensive stating "well most people don't have a lot of pain with this. Sorry." Topical was given halfway thru. A bit unimpressed at end.

He had provided a procedure under sedation that went well. Returned for follow up appointment and was having pain. He became very angry and immediately became defensive regarding the pain I was having and sarcastically said it was not his fault. I was not blaming him by all means, and clearly stated as such. He continued checking my mouth and was rough. Just as disappointing of his unprofessional behavior was that of the staff witnessing it and not saying anything.

I was scheduled to have a laser procedure done , my mouth was already numb and I asked him why the pockets around my teeth were getting deeper when I was having my teeth cleaned every three months and taking care of them like they advised me to, he got very angry and in a very unprofessional manner told me he did not go home with me and watch me brush every night so evidently I was not brushing very good , I advised him that I did not want him working on my mouth while was mad and he left
