It's a fine line that all professionals walk between doing their jobs and explaining to those who they serve how the jobs are done. Ivan walked it perfectly and with grace as he diagnosed, and then efficiently developed what will hopefully be the optimal solution for addressing the likely culprit of my sleep apnea. He first got to know me as a person and as we talked was able to observe the biomechanics of my speech to inform which paths he should consider going down to ensure he found the root of the problem. In the process I learned enough about him to know that he is a really good guy and motivated to do the right things for those he serves.
