Dr. Jeffery Hom, DDS

I had to have a retreat of an old root canal/crown. The consultation was fine - did x-rays, and said it had to be re-treated to get missed areas. I was scheduled for 4 weeks later for the work. That was postponed a whole month because their office move was delayed. At the appointment, I was told it was a two-part procedure. This was never mentioned prior, though they claim it was. I don't enjoy dental work and went in ready to get it done only to find out I would have to endure that a second time. I called in between because it felt like the filling had fallen out.... no one ever called me back to assure me it was ok. I went in for the final treatment and at the end stuck my tongue in there and felt the hole still. "What about filling in the crown?" I asked. "Your dentist does that as we told you." No you didn't tell me. When I got the call to finish the procedure, I learned the whole crown has to be replaced. No mention from Dr. Hom - they just shoved me out the door.

I am writing this review about 2 years+ after having seen Dr. Hom, whom I saw on the recommendation of my general dentist that I absolutely trust. Dr. Hom took his time and even stayed after hours to take care of my urgent root canal. He was patient, caring, gentle and meticulous with his work. As expected, I was very sore (mostly from having mouth open for so long) but the healing afterward was great and fortunately, I haven't had any issues with the tooth again. I highly recommend Dr. Hom.
