Dr. Jian Zhu, DDS

Like I said, Dr. Zhu is worth his weight in gold. For me he was God sent. My 2 year old and I were extremely traumatized from a previous Dentist. Dr. Zhu however, was completely the opposite. We have been seeing Dr. Zhu for over 18 years. He is very patient, gentle, kind, caring, understanding and extremely professional. He’s excellent with kids. All 14 of my children simply adore him. He has very flexible hours and often allows me to book all my children in one day, for my convenience. He is very trustworthy. He will never do unnecessary work or expose them to unneeded x-rays. He’ll always greet you with the warm smile and put all fears at ease. Parents are encouraged to sit alongside their child as he explains everything he’s about do. He has even done our 18 years old, braces. His walls are full of credentials and awards. He is always punctual and considerate of other peoples time. He delivers quality work each and every time. I highly recommend him. You will not be disappointed.

My 8 yr old son was referred to this dentist from our general dentist. Before they met my son or gave him an exam they offered sedation. I asked for him to be seen and come up with a plan. All Dr. Zhu cared about was going over the payment options with my husband while my son sat there waiting for treatment to begin. Dr. Zhu was very impatient to the point he didn't wait for the numbing meds to set in. He started drilling my son's tooth and my son tensed up in pain. He jabbed him more with numbing meds and again didn't wait and started drilling. My son felt it all once again and tensed up. Then Dr. Zhu stopped and said he needed to be sedated and walked out. Now my son has a bigger drilled hole in his tooth with NO temporary anything. Who does that!? My son never fought, he complied the whole time. It took a lot of effort to get our son in the door and the dentist let us down 110%. We were very upset and will never return there again! Very disappointing for a pediatrician dentist.

My kid visited dr. Zhu and he found she needs some major dental work and he suggested using another dentist for the work. Then she got some cavities taken care of also by that dentist. That dentist said there are two or three more cavities need to be fixed. We want opinions from Dr. Zhu. So we got all x-ray pictures back to consult with him to see if any teeth need to be repaired. We are far away from his clinic. So we emailed pictures to him. He called back at night the same day and explained in detail the conditions of teeth shown on eight pictures. It took him 30 min or so to finish this. We wanted him to get paid. But he said no worries and said he would do this to others as well free of charge. We couldn’t appreciate it enough. We highly recommend him because he is highly qualified, experienced, accessible, very patient.

I love that he shows you and explains everything he is going to do. Most pediatric dentist try to leave you in the waiting room while they are working on your child. He wants you right in the room with them comforting them.

He is considerate and caring of both patient & parent.
