Unprofessional and unclean
My husband and I visited this facility on Monday, January 20, 2025. I wished that we had read a review before making an appointment. Upon entering the place, it smelled like and old moldy building. That should had been the first sign. It was for me but my husband said we are here so lets give them a chance. My husband required dentures to be replaced. He informed me that they asked his to take out his old dentures and did not even provide a paper towel to put them into. They person put on gloves without washing his hands first. After the exam, he did not provide a rinse for my husband's mouth. Unclean. This was not a good experience.

Not fit for a dog
If I could give this place zero stars I would. They’re nasty and the place smells. I knew when I arrived I was at a pretty low end place but they accepted Medicaid so went ahead with it. I had to have 2 teeth extracted and he left a piece of a tooth in the socket so after 5 days I was swollen and in so much pain. Upon arriving they wanted to pack my gums with stuff for a dry socket claiming they couldn’t see a dry socket even if I had one, they would just diagnose me by what I said my symptoms were. This was all before even opening my mouth to look and see if it was infected or what was going on. Their answer being “if it’s not a dry socket then we just don’t know” So after demanding for them not The to touch my mouth until the actual dentist looked into it they see the tooth that was left there. I still am not sure if it’s infected or what, I had to let them remove the tooth fragment and hope for the best. As I am currently doing. The front desk is rude, the staff is rude.

Poor communication.
First visit went well. Required quite a bit more anaesthetic than Dr. Blount expected, but was taken care of. Told that my crown would be ready in 5 to 10 days and a date was scheduled to finish up. A few days before the second appointment, received a call that the lab had not sent the crown, yet. Two weeks later, after not hearing anything, called several times and finally got an answer. Told they still didn't have my crown, yet. Over a month later, after several attempts to reach Dr. Blount's office, left a voicemail stating my next step would be to contact my insurance. Was called within two days and told the crown was in and an appt. scheduled to put it in. Just received a call saying the Dr. would NOT be able to do it on that day and the next available date was a day I was scheduled to go out of town. Was told Dr. Blount had things to do on my scheduled day and didn't seem to care that I have things to do, also. Don't waste your time with this dentist. Unprofessional.

Most Horrible Dentist in America
I went to his office several times for a service and he NEVER delivered. His receptionist is very rude and doesn’t even greet you during the Sign-In Process. It’s sad that you sign in and no one greets you, your name only gets called to request your insurance information. Dr. Blount is very rude to his staff and is very impatient. The Waiting Room atmosphere is very uncomfortable. They over book patients, and you have to wait hours to see someone. Not to mention the outdated lobby furniture and decor. Overall, I was very unhappy with my visit to Dr. Blount office and would not recommend him.

Rudest Dentist in America – Feb 03, 2023
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Blount Jr?
Dr. Blount and his staff are EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNSANITARY! I’ve had about 6 appointments with him since July 2021 until now September 2021. Every visit has left me in excruciating pain. I don’t think he knows what he’s doing. He was supposed to fill my cavities he said I had a lot but he only filled 2. After he filled my 2 teeth my mouth has been so sore to the point where I couldn’t eat or drink without crying. I went in to see if the dentist could tell me what the problem was and he took a metal instrument and proceeded to bang my teeth with it. It hurt so he said I needed a root canal. I told him I didn’t understand why. I’ve never had pain in my mouth EVER and now I need a root canal. He could barely explain anything he was doing to me. I asked to see X-rays and I asked him to show me the decay, he never did. He told me he would do the a temporary root canal . He removed one of the two roots I had,and I’m still in excruciating pain because he never completed to job.

If I could rate this office a zero, I would gladly do so. Dr. Blount tried to give my mother a root canal and left her in severe pain and has not even called to see how she was doing after the horrible work done. My mother was referred to an oral surgeon after Dr.Blount hacked up her gums. She cant even eat and barely can drink. I stopped receiving work done from this office because of the painful cleanings and accidental pokings from him. I have one word for this office..... RUN

Dr. Blount is the only dentist that can actually get my mouth numb. He was very kind and made me feel comfortable. He and his staff are so sweet. He extracted 4 teeth and I didn't feel anything. I highly recommend him.

Me and my son had scheduled appointments as new patients and to start off the location was in Snellville whereas the dentist directory still had the address as listed in Lithonia but I took a chance and went anyway. I went for a general cleaning and had to get a deep cleaning where the doctor stuck me 6 times in my mouth to the point I was shaking and had to sit up. Needless to say that was on the 13th and today is the 23rd 10 days later and my mouth is still sore and I can't eat properly.

On 3/1/18, I visited the office to have 6 fillings. Dr. Blount "jammed" the needle into my gums before the process which brought me to tears. When I told him that it was very painful with too much force he said "I know". This was a both painful and terrifying experience. The hygienist in the room was very kind, she was totally empathetic and tried to soothe me. Dr. Blount was very unprofessional as well when he made the comment "um, um, um" when he looked into my mouth before the procedure.

My husband, 86, needed a tooth pulled and found Dr. Blount. The staff was friendly but we waited almost 2 hrs to go in even though we had scheduled an appt. But, my husband was satisfied with the doctor and the work done. However, he developed a bone spur in the place of the extraction and was in severe pain with infection. He called and was told to come in right after their lunch. He got there and after 2 1/2 hours was called into the office only to be told to go back out and wait. He left.
