Dr. Joseph Glotfelty, DDS

I’ve been going here since 2011 and it’s been my least anxious dental experiences EVER. How many folks enjoy going to dentist?-I do. I’ve never liked it in my past-anxiety prevented me from routinely going to dentist. Not anymore. They explain everything here and put me at ease.

I would recommend him to all my friends! Bedside manner was excellent. Most informative dentist I have ever had. Appreciate the fact that he only does what is nesessary with least amount of pain! Dental assistant made me feel very comfortable!

Excellent Dentist! Conservative and honest dentist. Makes patients feel not only heard but at ease in the dental chair. Doesn't do unnecessary work and always provides choices by explaining possible outcomes. Highly recommend!

Do NOT come to this dentist. He doesn't listen to his patients and their concerns. I have 2 cavities that could have been prevented if he had listened to me. I've been cavity free my entire life until now, and I take very good care of my teeth. If he had listened to what I had to say initially I would not have to pay for fillings now.

Dr. Glotfelty is very personable and takes the time to explain procedures (and/or draw pictures), options, and insurance implications. He is concerned about lessening your costs as much as he can. He is gentle and concerned with your comfort. His assistant is very friendly and courteous. The Dental Hygienists are also personable and good at cleaning teeth. The front desk staff is not welcoming and could stand to break out a smile once in awhile. They do seem competent, just not friendly

Dr Joe and his staff take care of my whole family. All of us are super happy with our care.

Takes the time to explain everything in detail, and offer different suggestions based on individual scenarios. Perfect "bedside" manner.

My husband and I were his patients for past 5 years. We both highly recommend him. He put his patient first. He is kind and trustworthy.

Very patient, thorough, describing each step of the procedures while he proceeds, a gentle touch, and very considerate of the patient's comfort level at all times, and a good sense of humor. And, he listens, which shows respect and appreciation. He exceeded all of my expectations and calmed my apprehension. His rates are quite reasonable. I am happy to have him as my new primary care dentist, and well worth the drive from Des Moines!
