Dr. Joseph Yurko, DDS

I saw Dr Marino on Feb23, it was my first time seeing her for tooth to be filled. I was so anxious as I have always hated going to the dentist. But to my surprise everything was great! Felt nothing with the shot for deadening and from that point on I was very relaxed and it did not take long at all! Everyone was very nice and understood my anxiety and put me at ease, Dr Marino explained what she was doing as she went along. I’m so pleasantly surprised, it was a really good visit!

This dentist and staff were very nice and did a wonderful job for my husband. The reason for one star review is as follows: We are on a fixed income, in our 80s. So, I called before the appointment to ask what the cost would be if my husband needed a filling. I was told $50. The cleaning, exam and filling were covered under United Healthcare dental policy, but the filling was not. We asked the doctor before the filling was done, just put in a temporary one. After our payment of $56 on the day of the filling procedure, I thought we were paid up. Then, I got a bill for $106. When I called the practice and reminded them that we were told $50, she said It was just an estimate. From an estimate of $50 to $162 does not sound like an estimate to me. I paid it and cancelled all of our future appointments. This is a warning to anyone going to this dentist.

Appointment was on time and made comfortable by the office staff. Debbie, the hygenist, was very thorough, informative and pleasant. Dr. Yurko was quite nice as he examined my teeth.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Yurko and my dental hygienist. Best dental services I have ever had.

Excellent dentist! Amazing "chairside" manner! Awesome office staff who bent over backwards to accommodate me with my dental emergency.

I made an appt with the "#1 rated dentist" in Waynesville. I was told I would need to either spend hundreds of dollars for Xrays or wait several months until my insurance would pay for them. Those were my options. I choose option #3 which was to find a different dentist. Dr. Yurko's office is excellent. I had a routine cleaning and a filling done and am more than satisfied with both services. This office doesn't self promote for ratings, but they deserve excellent ones.

Dr. Yurko and staff were able to help me with an "emergency" visit after suffering a cracked tooth with HIGH OCTANE nerve pain. Everyone was sincere in their caring, and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Yurko's ability and professionalism. I found him after a friend recommended him; so, I can certainly "ditto" that recommendation - FIVE stars in every category.

After not going to the dentist for an extensive amount of time, Dr. Yurko and his staff, welcomed me into their dental excellence program with open arms. This shows dedication, pride and the importance of good oral health. So far, Dr. Yurko had expressed his genuine concern and care. Hes even willing to do payment plans! ! Keep up the good work! ! My family and i will continue to keep you busy! !
