Dr. Joshua Teh, DDS

Dr Teh was condescending, scoffed when I said I did not want $800 bone graft. Very impatient and unwelcoming.The office is great. Professional, friendly and very accommodating.

The front office and back office staff were great! Liked the location in Issaquah at Bright now Dental, easy to find and lots of parking. But Dr Joshua Teh was not a nice person and although I'm sure he's very intelligent he only spent a few minutes with me and he was impatient and rude. I do not recommend this provider but the office in general is a good one.

I was told it was going to take 10 minutes to extract my tooth but it took an hour. He didn't discuss treatment options with me prior to Oral surgery. He told me I needed gum grafting. The front lady came with the paper that listed $1175 for the gum grafting and the dentist had left the room. When I saw how much it's going to cost, I told his assistant that I want to know if the gum grafting was necessary. He came and told me that it was necessary. I feel that this should have been discussed with me prior to the procedure. I was put in a difficult position as I had to come up with $1100 on the spot. I felt he didn't give me a chance to make the decision.

I do not recommend seeing Dr. Teh but if you do please take the following precautions: Get a predetermination from your insurance company and have it agreed upon and signed before the appointment. Ask when payment will be due. If you do arrive at the office the day of the surgery with no signed agreement do not be persuaded to wait in the room where surgery will take place until the scheduled time of the appointment but instead have financial agreements signed. If no agreement has been signed before anesthetic is administered do not accept the anesthetic but have a signed agreement at that point or leave the office. Independently investigate any special procedures recommended by Dr. Teh before accepting them. Consult your primary care physician about precautions to be taken after the surgery. Disregard any advice from Dr. Teh.

Dr.Teh did a phenomenal job on my wisdom teeth extractions, I was high risk for permanent nerve damage, and he went over multiple other options that I could choose. My surgery went well with no nerve damage he is very talented, and has a gentle hand. He called me to make sure I was doing okay, and is prompt to answer any questions I had. I really appreciate a doctor that goes over all the stats and facts of my surgery so just be aware that he is very honest and scientific with all his information.

I have no issue with the location itself. However, I have a massive issue with Dr Joshua Teh who did my wisdom teeth removal. Incredibly rude, spoke over me when I had general questions, seemed annoyed by such questions. Never told me how the procedure was going to go, raised his voice to me like I was a child when I showed signs of concern and anxiety. Never scheduled a post op, seemed irritated when I asked for a post op two weeks after because I was in such severe pain. My main dentist informed me I had a dry socket and sent me back to Dr Teh. He scoffed and said that that was impossible, looked at my teeth for less than 2 minutes and told me everything was fine. Rolled his eyes when I told him I was still experiencing pain, raised his voice when I questioned him further, treating me like a child. You are a doctor, you are supposed to help, not make things worse. I will never see Dr Teh again. He was nothing but rude and short sided with me. I will never recommend him to someone

I saw Dr. Teh for a wisdom tooth surgery consult. The consultation lasted 5 minutes. In it, he created crisis that did not exist. I had several questions that he did not answer because he was too busy trying to coerce me into rushing to surgery. He insisted I had an infection that needed to be operated on immediately. After consulting two other dentists, I did not, in fact, have an infection. He was defensive when I asked simple questions about the immediacy of the surgery, and kept pushing me to get the operation done. I did not feel like he listened to me. Instead, he talked over me and gave me one option: surgery. He seemed annoyed that I had basic questions about what to expect. He told me that if I got 4 wisdom teeth out, that I could back to the work the next day (note: I ended up getting the surgery done with another surgeon who actually took the time to explain the procedure to me, and even though, it went well, working the next day is simply unheard of).
