Dr. Kayla Tavares, DDS

Dr. Tavares is an outstanding person and a gifted endodontist. I had a root canal yesterday, and despite the process not being much fun, Dr. Tavares and her assistant made it as comfortable as possible. She uses advanced laser technology in her practice and is extremely knowledgeable. She was extremely patient and accommodating, answered all of my questions, and even asked if I had any other concerns or questions that she could address both before and after the treatment. I can recommend Dr. Tavares with the highest and most vigorous enthusiasm.

My root canal ended with me being diagnosed with trismus, a root fracture, and having to see an oral surgeon due to the need for a tooth extraction after the root canal and to have my jaw popped open. Kayla misdiagnosed me with TMJ and didn’t want to accept responsibility, but she forced my jaw past its limitations for three hours and injured me when she numbed my jaw. I put up with severe swelling, not being able to open my jaw, and severe pain for six weeks until it could be fixed by the oral surgeon after she did the root canal. She dismissed me even though I still had horrible swelling and pain! Now I have to pay for ER bills and I had to pay $650 to the oral surgeon to fix it! Worst $900 on a root canal I had ever spent in my life! Worst pain of my life! Please get a second opinion before you see her!!!!

If it were possible to give more than 5 stars I would!!! Many Thanks Dr Tavares!!! You are the most thorough and caring dentist I have after met. I feel most confident in saying Dr Tavares is genuinely concerned about her patients and will do all that is possible to take care of them. She went above and beyond to take care of the need I had. I’d been told by another dentist that my tooth couldn’t be saved. I was right on the verge of having an unnecessary oral surgery(frightening). Thank God for Dr Tavares!!! She saved me from the discomfort of a totally unnecessary oral surgery and thousands and thousands of dollars! Dr Tavares is honestly the best!!! I promise you, you’ll feel the same once you’ve met her, and her awesome staff. You’ll be amazed by their state of the art technology and their true concern in doing all they can to take care of you. I thank God for Cornerstone Endodontics and Dr Tavares! Thank you!
