Unfortunately, my experience with this dentist was very disappointing. Not only did I feel like unnecessary procedures were being recommended just to increase charges, but there was also a consistent lack of professionalism. Appointments rarely started on time, and the work often felt rushed and careless. It's important for patients to feel trust in their healthcare providers, and that trust just wasn’t there. I wouldn’t recommend this practice based on my experience.

I tried to book a standard check-up and cleaning, however the receptionist said I’d need to have a stand alone check-up first, then come back for a separate cleaning. 6 Months ago I had a cleaning and check-up and all was well. After I arrived, I was taken from the waiting room to a dentist chair and left alone for around 40 minutes. Following the check-up, the dentist took out a chart and shared a well reversed explanation of stages of gum disease and periodontitis. This had some unpleasant images of tooth loss towards the bottom. The assistant started putting together a treatment plan including deep cleaning and irrigation of my gums. The dentist said that it would only be necessary for a quarter of my mouth. Like most dental plans, I get $0 check-ups and two annual cleanings. The ‘deep clean’ proposed by the dentist was not covered and would be $163. I declined and requested a standard clean. The receptionist said that wasn't possible and later told me to find a new office.

This dentist is quite greedy. He recommended deep cleaning at a high cost & said my crown needed to replaced. He didn't even do a thorough exam. I had to make 2 separate appts, one for the dentist's exam and x-rays (6/20) & a second (7/20) for cleaning. I've never had issues with my teeth and signed a refusal for the deep cleaning. This guy shouldn't accept dental insurance through Covered CA if he's not willing to accept the low payments. When I called 1/7/21 to make an appt for a cleaning I was told I was no longer assigned to their office. They made me go through insurance hoops only to find out they refused to make an appt to clean my teeth because I signed a refusal of service for a deep cleaning that I did NOT need! Also, the staff is very condescending. I went back to my former dentist today (2/8/21) & was not surprised when I was told I didn't need a deep cleaning or to have my crown replaced. Even the measurements taken were much lower than the ones taken by Sarkosh.
