I had the EXACT same awful experience with Dr Bredau!-went in for a cleaning, he did not touch my teeth-he poked my gums then told me I have gum disease-6 months prior, I had a clean bill of dental health, no gum issues whatsoever-he told me I needed $4,000 worth of work done in 5 different sessions-he also recommended a $450 mouth guard. I have never grinded my teeth or been told I have that issue.-he also charged me for x-rays and never showed me the resulting images or talked to me about what he was noticing on the x-rays. I didn't even see him look at the x-rays before telling me he couldn't clean my teeth, that they were too bad.I will NEVER see Dr Bredau again.

I THOUGHT I was going in for a cleaning. This man did not even touch me with a toothbrush! What he did do was absolutely demolish my gums for no good reason. Maybe this is good dentistry practice and I just don't know, but he should have at least warned me! Anyway he stabbed each and every crevice where the tooth meets the gum with a sharp mouth related object in the front AND back. As he was doing this her was verbally rating each stab and noting bleeding (in a condescending tone). Following this he diagnosed me with stage 2 gum disease. Mind you I was at the dentist SIX MONTHS AGO and given a clean bill of health. Then he spent 30 minutes mansplaining gums to me, told me that I would need ultra deep cleaning, broken into 2 sessions because it's too much ORAL TRAUMA for 1. Also this cleaning costs thousands of dollars so that is a nice touch. Saving the best for last, he asked if I grind my teeth at night, I said idk, he said 'you usually only know if you are sleeping with someone'

Very professional and courteous. Is straightforward and explains what he is going to do, and does it.
