Dr. Leon Lester, DDS

Dr Lester is a wonderful dentist but please listen when I say RUN AWAY as fast as you can dealing with this office is a JOKE and when I took off work and showed up for three different appointments in the last two months only to be told that my appointment was not confirmed so it was cancelled nobody bothered to let me know with a call email or txt. My time and money were wasted three different times showing me that patients DONT MATTER at this office please RUN to anywhere where you will be treated with care a little knowledge by everyone employed there.

My last visit, was September,2021 I have always had a wonderful experience, when I have visited, his dental office. I have been a patient of his for 20 years. Thank you Dr Lester, for you worm and professional care. I have a million dollar smile now. Felicia Walker Charlotte NC

After being a loyal patient of Dr. Leon C. Lester Jr for over 10 years, he deceitfully misled me about orthodontic services that he was paid to provide but never provided yet has failed to refund me the complete payment I made to him in 2019. Only after I filed a complaint with the North Carolina Attorney General Office did he provide me with a partial payment. This was after 7 months of my repeated requests for him to reimburse me and his false assurances that he would do so. He is deceptive. In November 2019, I made a down payment for clear aligners. My orthodontia trays were to be received in 6 weeks. Within in a 7 months time frame after taking my down payment, he sold his practice and left the practice. He did not make me aware he had left. He never provided my service and never fully reimbursed me my money. He has promised to pay my money back on several occasions providing dates. Whenever this dates would come he would give another excuse or just stop responding. Beware.

I was a patient for about 15 years. Dr. Lester has always been pleasant, personable and professional. However, in the past 5 years, the office became a turnoff. The constant staff changes and length of service became difficult to deal with. Also, after having 2 crown nightmares with multiple visits, I finally had to divorce this office. Since my crowns are less than 5 years old, I’ve had to pay another office to perform work that was poorly done by Dr. Lester, because my insurance won’t cover crown replacements less than 5 years old. If I knew the other office was $500 less for the same crown work, with better quality, I would have left years earlier.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lester's for over 15 years and had general and cosmetic dental work completed over the years. I have been completely satisfied with the quality of the care I have received by both the dentist and his staff. His hygenist always does a great job and I am sure that my regular visits have kept my teeth and gums healthy. If you would like a dentist who is patient and up to date with dental techniques then I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Lester is fantastic! I’ve been a patient of his since 14. His work and staff are great! Dr. Lester always asks about my father (also a patient) and about school; he even remembers my school and major. I have never had any problems. The staff even call and text with reminders so you won’t forget your appointment. I recently underwent orthodontist care for one year. Now that I am in Graduate school in Durham, I routinely made the 2 hour drive every month for my appointments. They are great!!!

I’m very pleased with the service I have received by Dr. Lester and his staff. Everyone is friendly and courteous. I highly recommend him.

BEWARE!! The turnover in this office is the worst. Each visit there was a new hygienist and office staff. I did not have any issues when it came to regular cleanings, but receiving a crown was a total nightmare! I had the 1st temp crown put on and it fell off in 3 days, the 2nd temp fell off in 1 week, 3rd fell off in 2 days. I never received a follow up on the permanent crown so after 3 weeks I had to call to ask when will it be received. After 1mo received perm that fell off 3 times.

Thank you to Dr. Leon Lester, DDS and his amazing dental team in Charlotte, NC! In just less than 24 months, Dr. Lester gave me a supermodel smile! My family and friends absolutely love my ortho outcome and I love Dr. Lester's practice so much that my girls are his patients too! On our way to Charlotte, we ride past many dental offices. With Dr. Lester, I know that my family receives excellent dental care!

Dr. Lester and his current staff are very professional and courteous. The clinical staff are very knowledgeable and excellent at their jobs. Leslie cleaned my teeth and did an amazing job. She is very nice and has a warm presence. Elizabeth at the front is always kind and smiling. She is very thorough and always makes me feel like a welcome part of the office. Dr. Lester has always gone out of his way to help me understand my treatment and makes going to the dentist as pleasurable as possible.

I went in for a cleaning. What I received was a cursory exam by the dentist (who barely spoke to me) and then a shake down for an additional $1200 to get a "special" cleaning. On top of that I was charged for the regular cleaning which they never even performed. The woman who was tasked to bilking me with the additional money was cold and rude. I am going back this morning to demand a refund and I will NEVER go back to this dentist!
