Dr. Margaret Mitchell, DDS

I went to Dr. Mitchell for my TMJ pain that I have been experiencing for the last 15 years and no other dentist has shown any interest in helping me with. Immediately I was greeted by the helpful staff and taken back for my consultation. Dr. Mitchell was an absolute delight and spent a good amount of time getting to know me and my background. She spoke to me with such respect and professionalism that I almost never experience with other medical professionals. It was a huge relief to have a dentist take my pain seriously and provide me with an actual plan to tackle it instead of dismissing me.

Several years ago I left a 5 star review for Dr. Mitchell. She seemed like a good dentist, although I was surprised by how many crowns I needed. I kept having to drive into the city to have caps replaced, so I switched to a dentist in Evanston. At my last appointment Dr. Mitchell had told me I needed another crown (it would have been my 7th from her.) A my first appointment with Dr. Stephens, he told me I didn't need any crowns. I was shocked! I subscribed to a company called Private Health that recommends good health care practitioners, and asked for a referral. The third dentist also said that I don't need a crown! I saw Dr. Stephens again yesterday, 2.5 years after my first appointment, and he said my teeth look great. I am BEYOND disappointed that I likely had SIX unnecessary crowns from Dr. MItchell. I dread eventually needing 6 dental surgeries to replace these crowns with implants.

Dr. Mitchell provides excellent care, very gentle, explains what she is going to do and why. Dr. Mitchell's personality makes you very comfortable during the procedure. The view from the beautiful Gold Coast office is spectacular and you forget you are at the dentist! If you are looking for first class care and wouldn't mind a glass of champagne or a massage when you leave I would highly recommend Dr. Mitchell and her staff!
