Dr. Maria Concepcion, DMD

Do to health conditions, my oral health has taken been taking toll through the years. I have had 4 root canals and additional evaluation visits in her office that have been nothing but successful encounters with both Dr. Concepcion and her team. She has accommodated me at all hours to tend to episodes of onset excruciating pain. During each event she takes the time to discuss the situation, allows time for Q&A, and always clearly explains the plan. Most important for me she listens to my fears and anxieties related to dental work and always implements solutions to provide me with the most comfortable experience I need even when it may not be as quick and convenient for her. Which I can not say has been my experiences when dealing with many others in general dentistry. Her staff runs an efficient practice and has always been thorough, respectful and responsive to me. She will always be my number one go to!

I had an unsuccessful root canal with Dr Maria Concepcion in Feb. 2024 and came bad with a terrible tooth pain, same tooth! They squeezed me in the schedule same day I called. state there for 1 hour and 30 minutes waiting for her while she came in and out with another patients. Seeing 2 other patients at the same time. Results that she said she didn’t find anything in my X-ray and just prescribed antibiotic which wouldn’t give me any guarantee that the pain won’t come back and that if this happens again I will end loosing the tooth after paying around 3,000 in this root canal and a crown.I would never go back there and would NEVER recommend anybody to this office.

My experience was 100% different from some other reviews I’m reading. Granted, Dr. Concepcion and her office staff don’t have warm ‘n’ fuzzy bedside manners…but I went to Dr. Concepcion for her skill, not a verbal hand-holding. I was referred by an outstanding general dentist, who told me he’s trusted her with his own family’s care for years. That says a lot, coming from another dental practitioner. I came with an abscess & challenging root canal situation—and did NOT want to lose my tooth. Dr. Concepcion was nothing short of fabulous: she listened well; was attentive to my feelings; explained my situation & options thoroughly; was patient and responsive to my questions; and even sketched a picture for me for clarity. I have full confidence that I am in competent, skilled hands with her!!!

I want to start by saying that I typically have the utmost respect for professionals particularly when I have no knowledge of the subject at hand. However, I would never consider Dr. Concepcion to be professional. Her bedside manner is one of the worst I have ever experienced. She proceeded to tell me I wasn?t being an adult when I was explaining that part of the procedure was uncomfortable. She continued to insult me. Hadn?t I already been numbed and prepped, I would not have continued on in her care. Everything about the practice screamed they had an elitist attitude from the initial phone call scheduling the appointment with Vivian to my office experience with Vivian and Maria herself. I understand that Endodontics are incredibly well trained with years of education and should be respected as such; however, at the end of the day they are service based profession and they are doing a job. It was continually thrown in my face that they were doing me a “favor” by doing a straightforward root canal. To put it bluntly, I would rather let my teeth rot out of my head before returning.

Dr. and her assistant is unprofessional not caring after my Root Canal witch I was sedated they left the room with out making sure that I was able to get up safely. I stumble out the room to the bathroom and almost fall I was light headed and dizzy.

Dr Concepcion was very quick to respond to my extreme pain. She did her best to adjust her schedule to get me in very quickly for root canal surgery. She was reassuring and kind. Extremely competent. The office is very clean. The staff is excellent. I highly recommend this office.

Although I was in excruciating pain, Dr Concepcion did an emergency root canal and did everything possible to get me through it. She was very calming and compassionate.

On May 11, 2021 Dr. Maria performed an emergency root canal on my #31 abscessed tooth in a painless and comfortable setting. She and her Staff are exceptional, caring and compassionate. I highly recommend her for any specialty dental issues.

I’ve had two root canals by Dr Concepcion and both were painless and went smoothly. Today I brought my son to her for treatment. Once again she was wonderful.

Had a root canal this morning, I literally have no pain at all. The office is professional and kind. NO issues- so grateful to have gotten in as quickly as I did as I was in so much pain. Fabulous doctor.

Just had the pleasure of undergoing a root canal. My dentist referred me to Dr. Concepcion. I thought she was fantastic. The procedure took longer than expected because one of the roots was calcified. I thought Dr. Concepcio and her staff were fantastic. I definitely will return to her if (and when) I need additional work. My visit was in June 2020.

Is it unusual to compare a root canal to a spa experience? Not for me! Dr. Concepcion and Vivian made my experience as a first-time root canal patient an entirely enjoyable and very relaxed one. From start to finish, they were wonderfully communicative and frequently checked in with me to ensure that I was comfortable. I couldn't believe how quickly the entire procedure went and how pain-free I was during and after the procedure. High, high, recommendations!

Dr. Maria Concepcion is not only brilliant, but also kind and very calming. I was completely relaxed and felt in extremely capable hands. Staff were personable, professional, competent and thorough. I was informed of all that was and would be occurring during my root canal procedure. I had absolutely no pain whatsoever. Every aspect of the process exceeded my expectations. There is no comparison.

I have been to her two times and she was one of the best Endodontists I have ever had. She was professional, friendly, and very skilled. I would use her again if ever needed.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience with this service. Maria and her staff are very pleasant and makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed. Excellent "bedside" manners. I HIGHLY recommend her and am confident that it will be an experience you will never forget!

I have not personally had the displeasure of coming here but I have had family come to her. She kept them waiting for unacceptably long periods of time (over an hour) and had ZERO bedside manner. She did not explain what she was doing and why she was doing it and left my relative in tears. I also overheard her staff complaining when people were chatting in the waiting room (apparently talking is a disturbance?). RUN FAR AWAY

I can't say enough about the positive and comforting experience I have had with Dr. Conception. My dentist highly recommended her to me and I know why. Dr. Conception and her staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and very kind with their patients. I had a failed root canal (from years ago by another dentist) repaired. Dr. Conception took care of it and I returned home with minimal discomfort and a feeling of well-being. (also, the root canal was totally painless). I highly recommend

Dr. Concepcion is truly a competent professional. Of course, everyone in the accredited medical profession is required to be, however, Dr Concepcion is well above the average. I have had numerous procedures performed by her over the last 6 years. Her staff is responsive, competent and cheerful. Maria gets right to work, wastes no time or words. I was a fighter pilot in the US Air Force, flew many demanding missions, we had to get it right, the first time. That is what happens here.

After visiting Dr Concepcion I don't know why people think that root canals are painful I didn't feel one bit of discomfort during the procedure. She uses bite block to aid you in keeping your mouth open. Much more comfortable. She and her staff are most friendly and accommodating. The absolute best in the area.

The technician had to take x-rays twice before Dr. Concepcion had to do them herself. So not only did I receive extra radiation the Tech. was so overwhelmed that she was going to take x-rays without the protective bib until I mentioned it. I used to go to her because of her expertise but now I am afraid that she will be training another Tech. I do not want to be the guinea pig.
