Dr. Mark McLaren, DDS

I was initially swayed to sign up, but over time I began to see into the driving force- $$You have to acknowledge that your problem may not be fixed or might even be made worse and you will have no recourse other than to pay for more treatment.1) Sleep apnea testing with and without the device was pitched as part of the treatment. When it came time to do it, they wanted another $4-500 and demanded their cash-only company be used instead of one my insurance would cover.2) 6 months into treatment they discovered that my splint was not correct and openly told me that it may never have been correct from the beginning of treatment since they don’t do imaging upfront with the new splint.3) Final imaging showed no change and pain persisted. Was not helpful.It was my understanding that Dr McLaren was buying the practice from Dr Baba- I think this is important to note as it seems most positive reviews reflect Dr Baba. My experience with Dr McLaren was not up to the same standard.

Even though his staff is great and they spent a lot of time doing “tests”, Dr. McLaren spent very little time listening to me or examining the test results. In fact, he told me he had another patient he was dealing with and would be coming in and out of my room to gather bits of information from me while he tended to his other patient. His proposed treatment plan was not tailored to my specific TMJ issues as he never even looked in my mouth, nor asked me where my pain was.

He made me feel safe. I am incredibly afraid of dentists. He and all of his staff are kind, gentle and caring.

The most pleasant dentist appointment EVER! Dr. McLaren and his staff are kind and considerate. No waiting, no lectures and no pain. If you are looking for a great dentist, this is the place for you.
