I have 3 boys and we have taken them to Dr. Lavie several times. Though clearly competent, he is very aggressive and prescribes excessive, expensive treatments (which in the high rent district he serves, no doubt is very profitable). After suggesting preventative treatments for one of my young sons totaling almost $1,000, I took him to a different dentist for a second opinion. I was told Dr. Lavie's recommendations were excessive and unnecessary, and potentially harmful to the young child. Aggressive dentistry, not to mention excessive x-rays on children, can do long term damage, especially to young children. Try someone else.
