Mayra Madalena

Dr. Madalena informed me that I had enamel erosion and a cavity on one of my incisors. I've known for years about the enamel erosion but the cavity diagnosis came as a big surprise. When I questioned Dr. Madalena she was abrupt, dismissive, and actually left the room without answering all of my questions. I found it questionable for her to diagnose me with a cavity on my incisor. First this an unusual location for a cavity and second I was not having any dental pain. When I returned for my follow appointment to have the cavity removed I again inquired about my diagnosis. She informed me that she did not see a cavity on the x-ray but that she was able to visualize the cavity when she inspected my teeth. After hearing this I immediately realized she made a blatant misdiagnosis and was planning to perform an unnecessary procedure. I immediately left her office and made an appointment with another dentist. Unsurprisingly my new dentist informed me that I did not have any cavities.
