Dr. Martin abandoned me in Pawleys Island in Nov.
I have used this establishment for more than 10 years & spent around $1800 for implants. I thought I had found a doctor that could help me. However, I was wrong. I tried calling & leaving messages to their answering service as they would never answer the phone in Pawleys Island, SC. I even sent a message via Post Office in a Christmas card for them to contact me as I was in dire need of an adjustment of my lower plate. However, I was ignored! I have never experienced such unprofessional treatment! I didn’t understand why & I guess I never will - since they would never call me back.

STAY AWAY
We moved to Murrells Inlet in 2020. I had a tooth that had been bothering me. Prince Creek Denistry had good reviews. Made an appointment with Dr Flanders who came highly recommended. Ended up with Dr Martin. Should have never let her touch me. She deemed tooth needed to be pulled and get implant. When I told her I was unhappy she said don't go anywhere else. They won't know what I did. What she did was a poor implant. I have since had to have the adjacent two teeth pulled and get 2 additional implants. The surgeon doing most recent did not know the history, just that I had previous implants. It was a difficul and painful procedure. When finished he made a comment that whomever did the previous implant didn't know what they were doing! Stay away from Dr Martin. 4 years later I am still dealing with what she did to me.

This has been the worst dental visit I have ever had. A simple appointment for a simple cavity lasted 2 1/2 hours. Dr. Martin seemed unsure of what she was doing. Left the room multiple times, took pictures of my tooth to convince me to get a crown and needed to inject me with Novocain a second time because she took so long the anesthetic wore off. She tried to work without an assistant and almost drowned me by spraying me with water without suction. After finally filling my cavity she checked for my tooth alignment. The tooth was aligned but extremely rough. When I told her she filed it down several times and left it rough with a sharp object on the back of the tooth. She then left the room and the dental hygienist had to complete her work and polished the tooth and removed the rough point. When I went home I suddenly became extremely dizzy. I had developed BPPV from the dental work and laying down so long. I had to call my ENT for treatment. Stay away from this office.

When Dr Martin examined my gums she jammed thumb deep down into my bottom lip. Then proceeded to pull my lower down and hard. This caused me so much pain and discomfort. Dr Matin stretch my lip so much it hurt for three weeks. I would not recommend Dr Martin for any procedures.
