My dentist sent me here to clean up a small inflammation where my gum had receded below the roots of a molar. I was led to believe that my dentist also sent me to replace gums with cadaver gums. This was not so. I was told by Sergio’s assistant there would be three appointments: consultation, surgery, post-op cleaning. Period. After the surgery I followed instructions to the letter. At the post-op visit/cleaning, I was told I needed another appointment….then another, and another. I was told I could not return to my dentist until I was released. I never saw Dr. Sergio after the surgery, just his staff. Each additional appointment I was charged $185.00. Apparently the post-surgery checkups were not to be included with the $4000.00 for the gum replacement. I finally told them I would not be returning. I went back to my own dentist. To my surprise, my dentist never requested the gum replacement, only the laser cleanup of inflammation, which was still there. No change in gums.

Dr. Sergio and his staff all convey the attitude that healing, not merely maintenance, is the goal. There is respect, efficiency, and beautiful photography throughout. If you are in need of periodontal work, I recommend going to these folks.
