Front office is terrible
First, let me start by acknowledging that Dr. Newton did a great job with my procedure. My issue is his front office personnel who are extremely difficult to work with and will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help you with insurance. A couple of days before the surgery, their office called me and stated that they needed $1100 for the anesthesia. They did not even try to run it through insurance first and demanded payment upfront. We argued and they finally gave in and did the procedure with a promise that we would pay if insurance did not. As expected, our insurance denied the anesthesia. When we asked for the medical records, they only sent a few, but not the anesthesia records which justified the medical need to be asleep for the procedure. Why did they do this, GREED. Seems the negotiated rate is about $700 less than they wanted me to pay out of pocket. Guess what, when we got the complete medical records from his staff, insurance paid. When then contacted his office to get a refund for the overpayment we paid to them. They conveniently are keeping $300 of our money because of incidentals. His office is going to get their money one way or another. My advice is no matter how good he was, you going to pay more than a premium the way his front office works. Good Luck!

I saw Dr. Newton multiple times in first quarter of 2019. I had a wisdom tooth and an abscess tooth removed, unfortunately I had complications which required repeated visits. He and his staff provided wonderful care and I will return without hesitation. Dr Newton has a genuine concern and kindness for his patients that is lacking in other doctors that I visit.
