TMJ
Nice facility but I had a terrible experience. Judge for yourself. I'm not exaggerating just my experience. I have suffered from TMJ since I was a teenager.I have had horrible flare up for many months so I researched botulism for tmj. My first visit I asked for botulism but like all of them he said first we need to do $800 night guard. It will be better than the other 4 you have.So I agreed. He said if it didn't work we would do botulism and gave me written estimate. Well it didn't work... went back for the Botulism. Hope it works. They would not honor written estimate and charged me substantially more.Since he was one that said to wait after wearing my $800 guard. I think he should have honored my quote.I told him nicely how I felt and if my pain had not been so bad I would have went elsewhere. The extra money was more important than keeping a patient.

Carlson should have taken a less invasive, more cost effective procedure before giving me a crown (my tooth was starting to crack). My insurance denied the entire claim, and told me Carlson had billed under a "shared service." This means, they contract with the insurance company but send the bill to another insurance provider under the same umbrella. There is NO contracted rate and YOU have to pay the entire bill when they deny it. Good thing they care more about money then the patient!

Stay away from this practice. They lie to patients stating they have cracked teeth and therefore require crowns (which are at least $1500). This happened to my husband and multiple friends. They also overcharge, don't tell you about additional charges that are optional (regarding crown materials), make you pay up front before insurance discount & payment and then never tell you that you've overpaid. Their billing software is confusing, which helps coverup overcharging. STAY AWAY.

Stay away from this dentist. The dental hygienist told me that full mouth x-rays would be covered by my insurance at no out-of-pocket cost to me. About a month later, I got a bill in the mail. The full mouth x-rays made me incur a $75 deductible. If I had only gotten bite wings, I wouldn't have had to pay the deductible. I called the office about this issue several times. They said that it is not their policy to check the patient's insurance. They would not write the amount off, and I had to pay

I was Dr. Carlson patient last year. He did good job with my bridge and my balance was $21,000. After I finally review my bill I notice charges for life time teeth whitening that was never discussed with me. I paid my $20,000 and his office manager told me that she will removed life time teeth whitening. At that time I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I didn't think that she never removed that fee. Today I scheduled appointment because my jaw is hurting for more than 3 weeks. I was checked b

First crown was very well done. Based on this, I had 2 other crowns done that were supposed to be computer designed. When I arrived, the computer equipment was not working, so these crowns were sized the old fashioned way with impressions taken by someone who didn't know how do to it and was coached by another employee. When the crowns arrived they were so ill-fitting that after an hour, the dental assistant took over the drill and ground off the tooth next to it. One crown had to redone.

Poor tooth treatment (root canal and crown) that ended to be useless as it got infected. It has to be taken out at the end and cost me money. They even did not propose a discount on the removal so I did the job somewhere else. Worst job ever!

Infuriating that after spending thousands and having a root canal performed on tooth #2 and #3 that I'm now having to pay thousands again to have these same teeth re-treated due to the fact there roots that were not treated by Dr.Carlson. Always ... Always use an endodontist for root canal procedures. A general dentist is not qualified for such procedures-period!!!
