Dr. Richard Goldin, DDS

Dr. Goldin was very rough and unpleasant. At one point he even yelled at me and asked why I was still asking questions. And finally he continued to forget the plan of action for my treatment. He is the type of dentist that makes the experience horrific.

This was the most antiquated dental practice I've ever been in. We went for a consultation on my son's receding gum issue, and this is the only office that charged us for a simple consult. We visited three other practices for the same consultation, and no one else charged us.

* Paying for a widely inaccurate estimate felt like a bait and switch. The estimate (we paid for) was $1300 per quadrant but on the day of the osseous surgery, Dr. Richard Goldin greeted us at his Vienna office, looked at the estimate and immediately turned to his reception staff who reprinted a new copy because he said a $500 item was missing...$500 for each quadrant (a $2000 mistake). We'd already arranged time off work and were there, so he had us over a barrel. What is the point of taking time off to visit and pay for an estimate when it's going to be so wildly inaccurate? * He is also no longer capable of performing the upper and lower on same side during same visit. * He did tell us about interdental brushes. * Our new periodontist in Centreville said Dr. Richard Goldin’s work on the one lower quadrant was good if a bit "old school".

Bad experience !

Does not listen or address patient's questions.Easily irritated and unpredictable. Stuff is rude and unhelpfull.
