Dr. Robert Lerner, DDS

During a root canal he was not paying attention to the work he was doing at all and then broke off the drill bit and left it in the root canal and said it was ok. Now I have to go to an endodontic specialist and have the drill bit taken out. He does not even deserve 1 star also he works on 2 or 3 people at the same time so do not expect to receive the attention you deserve from this DDS.

I have been dentist hopping for all my 18 years living in Anchorage; and late last year found Dr. Lerner. What a relief! He and his staff are outstanding; they find the sweet spot in balancing professional yet personal care, and never with pressure or incessant upsells on any procedure or products which my last dental group (Excellence in Dentistry) does, for example. I don’t mention the past group maliciously, I just wearied from pressure for expensive care to replace cavities and crowns that have zero symptoms. Dr. Lerner and his staff (Leigh at the front desk, Verla, the most excellent Hygienist Shelly) are simply kind, professional, personal, and gentle. You can request nitrous oxide upon scheduling to make the experience even more relaxing, and I gladly pay cash at my own request, not theirs, for that service. He reviews findings (I DO need work), opinions, and treatment recommendations then leaves it to you to decide what and when anything is done. Outstanding, honest, admirable.

The entire staff at this office are top notch. I'm sure with COVID-19 work is challenging but they seem to have taken it in stride. I've felt very safe and received excellent care. Dr. Lerner takes his time to answer any questions and goes over the options with me thoroughly before making a plan of care. My daughter referred me to this office and I'm happy she did!

Doctor Lerner, his office staff and Shelly, Lee, Verna are all top notch! I had a bad experience long time ago and really didn't like going to the dentist. Can't say I enjoy it that much still BUT Dr. Lerner has done great work on my teeth and I am so grateful. I have referred him to other friends who also liked him BUT searched for a cheaper dentist - you get what you pay for! He isn't cheap but he is worth every penny and really he doesn't charge too much more than others and he hopefully pays his amazing staff well which is again well worth it in my opinion. His office really is the best I've ever visited.

Dr. Lerner has been my dentist for at least 15 years. After all the dental procedures he has done on my teeth, now I have a new smile, all my teeth come together when I bite down, my gums look great, and Dr Lerner and his team have always made time for me for urgent dentistry work. Thumbs up and thanks.

After a time, I decided to go to a different dentist. I needed my records transferred and signed a records-release form. Dr. Lerner’s office refused to forward the records or to permit me to pick them up unless I paid $32.00! I had only ever been to his office 2 or 3 times. My new dentist told me that he had never encountered such a thing and said that it appeared that Dr. Lerner was behaving vindictively since I was leaving his practice. I have every intention of telling everyone I know that D

Dr Lerner Is the most honest dentist I have ever been to. He has given me the best care. Step by step he has treated my teeth doing what was most important first. Today I have a healthy smile. I will continue referring my clients to him knowing he will take care of them as he has done for me. He has integrity.

The staff is really nice and it's the first dental experience I've had as an adult that I feel like everyone cares.
