She has a beautiful state of art practice. It's hard to get in, but it is worth it. Crowns in a day, testing for dangerous mouth bacteria, and great caring staff. I wouldn't go anywhere else. You get what you pay for!

I want to comment on some of the bad reviews. Dr Hazen is a great Dr and so she does not need two hours to check every issue. She is always to the point. She always asks the appropriate questions. And she is never rude. She even ask about other people in my family. Somebody confuses being to the point with being inaccurate or rude. Yes, they suggest some procedures that are useful, but not necessary. It would be unethical not to do so. It is up to the patient to make the decision to take advantage of the suggestion or not. As for the billing. I have to say they do make some error, but I have not found a medical billing department that does not do so. Medical insurances and billings are complicated. One has to make sure that every bill the receive, from doctors, but other places too, are correct. Every time I had a question about billing they always checked into it and gave me all the documentation I requested and I think that is all one can ask.

Over the 4th of July weekend, my daughter was in pain due to popcorn kernel piece being lodged up behind her back teeth and her gum. My wife and I tried every thing from flossing, picking, and rinsing. My daughter was crying and in pain. We called Dr. Hazen and asked for her expertise and help on July 3rd in the evening hours. Dr. Hazen not only works very hard, but has been blessed with a great family. Dr. Hazen took time to talk with us, and made plans to come into the office on the 4th of July and see my daughter. Dr. Hazen certainly had family plans and put those on hold to help my daughter. We are very great full and thankful to have a dentist like Dr. Hazen. She went above and beyond to help my family and sacrificed her personal family time to help my family. Thank you again, Dr. Hazen.

Dr Hazen and her team did an amazing job giving me a beautiful smile with Invisalign. Since then I’ve been a patient in her general dental practice and always have a positive experience. I’ve had a crown placed same day during another visit and it was very successful. She has the best staff and they always explain everything well. I have never been overcharged and feel she is always fair. I moved further towards the city and still drive to Mount Dora for my cleanings as a good dentist is hard to find.

just now My family of 4 has been visiting Dr. Hazen’s office for almost 2 years. My son and I started attending every 3 month cleaning visits due to braces at the same time. Recently. My 14 years old, occasionally would have a school conflict and he has not been able to attend scheduled visit. We notify the office 24 hours prior the need to reschedule his due to reason explained but I would still be able to attend my scheduled visit. Well, staff reported they have a $35 fee cancellation policy and will have to pay for my son’s appointment. Even if I am attending mines. That is ridiculous and unreasonable policy for this case

Dr Hazen Gilliland has poor chair side manner, rushes through every visit-had a mini temper tantrum when I said my crown looks a little shorter in length vs the other front tooth. She ripped her gloves off, stood up, and very arrogantly said "take it off put the temporary back on, refund his money and he can go see a cosmetic dentist if he wants" to her dental tech - then stormed out of the room. She shows that she is very inexperienced with patient care even though her dad is a prosthodontist.

Level of Care is excellent. However, billing practices make this office impossible to deal with. See my complaint with the BBB of Orlando. Also be careful of advice. Office often recommends procedures that are useful but not necessary; it is patient's responsibility to determine if it is necessary.

Each person that spoke to me introduced themselves. Everything that was done was explained to me, in layman's terms, before it was done. Was asked many times during procedure if I was ok. Very gentle! Had no pain at all after procedure. I would recommend Dr. Hazen to ANYONE!

She was so attentive to my fear of pain. I was kept completely relaxed during my root canal. They fit you in with appointments pretty quick.
