Dr. Shin and his staff were very professional and friendly.

Shady business practices!! They tried to get my bf to pay for a root canal $1200 100% out of pocket when he has insurance and they are in network. They claimed they would reimburse him whatever the insurance didn’t pay. That’s not how that works when you have insurance! Beware of these people trying to scam you out of your money!!

I had a root canal about a week ago with Dr. Shin and it was the most excruciatingly painful dental procedure I've ever had in my life--and this was my 4th root canal in my life. Avoid this endodonist at all costs!

Dr. Shin is the best! If you want the best haircut go to the best stylist. If you want the best root canal go to Dr. Shin!!!!!!!!!!! He is very professional. Hes is informative. He loves what he does. The support staff is great. I totally recommend Dr. Shinn!!!!!

I came in to leave just five stars without leaving a comment however, I decide to leave a review after reading other people’s negative comments. Let me tell you about my story. I had root canal therapy and subsequent root surgery done from two different endodontists due to tooth infection. Both treatments failed after spending tons of money for crowns in addition to those root canal procedures. Dr. Shin used 3D CT scan and other X-rays to find missing canals in my molar. He saved the failed molar with retreatment. I am really appreciated him to save my own tooth. I wasted more than three thousand dollars already for the tooth before I met Dr. Shin. If I saw Dr. Shin in first place with 3D scan, it would not be necessary to waste all those extra money. I hope you guys do not make a same mistake as I did. If you are looking for a bargain with poor quality treatment, Dr. Shin might not be suitable for you. Good luck.

a lot more expensive to go to this office than any other endodontist. cost about 1k just for a root canal. they charge you for a 3d xray that insurance doesn't cover. theres no need for them to charge that much for a machine they have in office.

Was given an estimate of $250 and was told that I was charged a fee for their equipment and that the x-rays they had taken was written out as a fee and wouldn't be listed under charges. Over a month has passed since visiting their office and I have received a call notifying me of an outstanding balance of $600. How could the estimate be so drastically wrong, from $250 to $850? And why wasn't I notified sooner? Beware of scam.

Billing Issue, but great doctor. I went in for a standard root canal and the procedure went well. I have dental insurance, but they took additional scans (they knew my insurance would not cover these scans). Rather than explaining this to me or giving me the option, they billed me for my procedure ($100 more than my insurance company said I was responsible for) and then almost 2 months later sent me bill for an additional $54. Seems like they should be more clear & bill at the time of visit.

I had a previous root canal the endodontist missed a canal. I was sent to Dr. Shin after my dentist saw saw something in an x-ray after building a crown for the tooth. She sent me to Dr. Shin because of his 3D xray. Dr. Shin saw the problem (I doubt few would have seen). He went down through the new crown (saving the cost of replacing it) and slowly and carefully cleared the canal. It was very tricky but he (and his assistant) did a great job. I won't ever have a root canal that he doesn't do.

Not likely. Dr. Shin's office staff is very rude and condescending.
