Dr. Sean Bates, DDS

The orthodontist himself was fine. He indicated he would install spacers on my son's teeth and that they would check with our insurance to see how much was covered. They then never called us back. When we then tried to schedule it, the receptionist told us our insurance wouldn't cover it. When I looked up our EOBs, there was one that said all but the 10% coinsurance was covered, and one that said it was coded improperly and needed to be resubmitted. When I called back to tell her that, she was full of excuses and then eventually said, 'We don't install spacers, your dentist does that.' Our dentist said, no, the orthondist does that. The receptionist refuses to resubmit with the proper code ('There IS no proper code,' she said.). And now we have to recreate the wheel at a different orthodontist who knows how to actually submit things properly to the insurance company. Extremely frustrating service.

As an adult orthodontic patient, I found Dr. Bates and his staff to be very professional, friendly and caring. Dr. Bates answered all questions and explained options. He does superb work--I am 100% satisfied with the outstanding result he delivered. The staff was efficient and respectful of my time--I rarely had to wait more than a few minutes past my appointment time to get promptly seen and treated. I now have a perfect smile, thanks to Dr. Bates and his fine staff.
