I was lucky to have Dr. Torkan as my orthodontist while she was a resident at UW Medicine. I was not a typical case, presenting with a severe malocclusion (open bite) that somewhere between needing experimental orthodontia or surgery (according to another orthodontist I consulted) and Dr. Torkan was able to close my bite and align my teeth using some newer techniques. In other words she is VERY skilled
