Dr. Shane Samy, DMD

I've had Dr. Samy as my dentist for over 20 years. He is kind, compassionate, patient, and does excellent work. I've had several crowns done and he and his assistant Whitney were great to work with--they always made sure I was as comfortable as could be and encouraged me to be picky about the way the crowns looked (front teeth) to make sure I liked them. Hannah at the front desk who does the scheduling is also awesome. :)

I first met Dr. Samy more than 20 years ago when I had a serious toothache that threatened to keep me from going on a week-long rafting trip. Dr. Samy's patient, skillful work (for several hours!) put me back on the trip, and I've been privileged to be one of his patients ever since. Dr. Samy is every bit as conscientious and dedicated today as he was on my first visit. He and his staff are kind, efficient, and patient-centered. They do excellent work. My visits, for a variety of procedures, have been pleasant and pain-free (yes, really!). I agree with every glowing review he has received. It's difficult to think of any compliment he hasn't already been given. He's first-class all the way.

Dr. Samy discharged my 80-year-old father from his care after my parents informed his office that they could not go forward with the proposed plan of care due to the quote for that care equalling $20,000 and my elderly parents being unable to afford that plan of care. Now Dr. Samy is refusing to provide care for either of my elderly parents. Since it is one of the most expensive dental offices in the area, he is doing them a favor. The manner in which he chose to handle this situation shows his lack of true compassion for his patients and the actual motivation for his practice…greed.

Office is very old and outdated. It seems very crowded and smells like mold. The hygienists were nice, but the assistant seemed very robotic and not very friendly.Service was just ok. Older lady at front desk seemed frazzled and not really sure she knew what she was doing. Doctor was ok, but seemed in a rush to leave the room all the time,even though the office wasn't busy

I recently went to Dr Samy's office for an implant and a crown. It took several visits over a year's time. This is normal for the type of implant I needed. During each of the visits I was impressed by the professional staff, the organization of the office, and the care Dr Samy took to make sure all of the steps were done in a sterile environment, much like a medical surgery! I just had two crowns done by Dr. Samy and his assistant/restorative hygienist, Whitney. I am so pleased with how the crowns turned out. Dr. Samy and Whitney were very professional and their skill helped to made the experience comfortable and relaxing.

The doctor might want 2 actually listen 2 his patients instead of trying 2 shove treatment down their throats that they don't want. I don't need iv sedation. Office was very dirty and cluttered looking and prices much higher than other offices. Dr. Very abrupt and rude 2 his assistant

The information below is not only false, but slanderous. Dr. Samy is very professional and he cares deeply about his patients. I have had nothing but positive experiences every time I visit him. He is also located in Eugene, OR so I'm not sure how someone from CA had a bad experience. 5 stars from me! I would highly recommend him to everyone I know.

Very personal about your treatment plan, all the hygienist are gentle, very professional & friendly. This office goes out of it's way to make it's patients feel comfortable.
