I found him to be condescending and unprofessional. He rudely told me that nothing was wrong and that I might be dealing with psychosis or trauma. Afterwards, since the pain and discomfort was so bad, I see another Dr. and find out Dr. Shanker was wrong and didn't even do exams he should have.

Wrong orthodontist for adult braces.
I am an adult female and needed orthodontic tweaking. Their website stated they do adult treatment. I made an appointment and it turned out to be one of most unprofessional experience ever. Dr Shanker was so rude and overbearing I sat there in shock. They made several x-rays and pictures and said it wasn't worth the time and effort. He said I could have copies of their x-rays if I needed them later. I did call and asked for copies in order to keep the radiation lower in my system, but they said no way. If you are an adult female..beware!

I was referred to Drs. Cassinelli & Shanker Orthodontics by my dentist. From the first call, their office staff was incredibly friendly. Upon visiting for the first time, I was greeted warmly and at no point felt shamed for being an adult who has waited so long to take care of their teeth. The entire team has been great throughout this process. Dr. Shanker is very humorous and has a welcoming smile all the time. I would refer this practice.
